Provenance: John Carpenter collection. By descent to the current owner. John Carpenter (1936-2021) was an Irish professional football referee who officiated in the League of Ireland from 1964 to 1984, as well as a FIFA international referee from 1969 to 1984. Carpenter took up refereeing in the early 1960s when a broken leg cut short his playing career with St Patrick's Athletic. He joined the League of Ireland panel in 1964. Carpenter had a distinguished career in European club competitions, refereeing 37 matches and culminating in the 1982 UEFA Cup Final. He refereed 15 full international matches between 1970 and 1983; and was a reserve referee for the 1974 FIFA World Cup. When the North American Soccer League was launched, Carpenter was one of a small number of European referees who were invited to officiate.

The Mexico has staining to the front of the shirt which has leaked through slightly to the back.
George Best original autographed b&w 10 by 8in. photograph, depicting Best in action for Manchester United, circa 1968, nicely signed in black pen, very good condition. George Best (22nd May 1946 – 25th November 2005) was a Northern Irish professional footballer who played as a winger for Manchester United and the Northern Ireland national team. In 1968, he won the European Cup with Manchester United, and was named the European Footballer of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year. The Irish Football Association described him as the "greatest player to ever pull on the green shirt of Northern Ireland".
Robbie Fowler white England home jersey from the Euro 96 competition held here from June 8th to June 30th 1996, This is a tournament issued Umbro short sleeved example with the UEFA Fair Play badge on the left arm and the Euro 96 badge on the right. The front has the Three Lions crest mounted centrally below the UMBRO manufacturers' logo. The squad number 21 is present below the crest. The back is lettered FOWLER, bears the no.21 and is size XL. There is no evidence of match wear and the shirt is in excellent condition. Robbie Fowler was a key part of Terry Venables' Euro 96 squad and made two appearances for the Three Lions as England made their way to the semi final in front of a captivated audience only to see their hopes of truly bringing football home dashed by losing in the penalty shoot out on June 26th at the game's spiritual home, Wembley Stadium.
