An unusual pair of signed presentation montages by King Albert I and Queen Elisabeth individually, the King's 4to card featuring an affixed 3.5 x 5 photograph to the centre, the image depicting him in a head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform, with a circular gold coloured coat of arms affixed to the upper left corner and a gold and red coloured metallic monogram A with a crown atop fixed to the lower left corner, and with black, gold and red ribbons mounted to the right edge. Signed ('Albert') in dark fountain pen ink with his name alone beneath his portrait. The Queen's 4to card features a good vintage sepia 6.5 x 9 photograph, the image depicting Elisabeth standing in a three-quarter length pose and wearing a tiara. Photograph by Alban of Brussels and bearing their pencil signature to the lower left corner. To the right edge of the image are two black, gold and red striped ribbons affixed with two red wax seals of differing sizes, each featuring different impressions of coats of arms (the larger with a small piece detached from the border). Vintage signed 2 x 5.5 photograph, the image depicting the Prince standing in a full-length pose wearing a ceremonial uniform with sash and medals and holding a sword in his hands. Signed ('Andre, Prince de Grece') in bold black fountain pen in to the base of the image and dated November 1936 in his hand. Grand Duke Dmitri, together with his friend Felix Yusupov, took part in the assassination of the mystic Rasputin. Signed in bold dark fountain pen ink to a light area at the base of the image and dated 17th May 1927 in his hand. Together with a brief T.L.S., J. Ramsay MacDonald, one page, oblong 8vo, Lincolns Inn Fields, London, 1st March 1910, to J. H. Wells, thanking him for his kind letter and remarking 'It has given me great pleasure to read it'. Some light overall age wear to the photograph and with a tape stain to the lower right edge, only very slightly affecting the signature. The letter neatly trimmed and laid down to a page removed from an autograph album. G, 2
