SCOTLAND CAP / J.SHARP 1909 Red Scotland Full International Cap awarded to James Sharp for the match v Wales, March 1st 1909 at Wrexham. Wales won 3-2. Sharp was a full-back who played for Fulham at the time, his other clubs included Dundee, Rangers, Woolwich Arsenal and Chelsea and he is described as " burly and slow but so marvellous was his anticipation that the fastest of opponents was liable to be outwitted." Sharp became the Fulham Trainer/Coach between 1919-26 and he won 5 full International caps whilst he was with Dundee, Woolwich Arsenal and Fulham. The Cap is slightly worn in parts and has a gold tassel with gold border around the cap. Embroidered on the Cap is "S v W" with the Scottish Lion beneath and "1909" on the peak. The lining is also a little worn. Fair to generally good

FULHAM FC MEDAL 1891 Winners medal for the West London Observer Association Football Challenge Cup 1891. Hall-marked silver with enamel crest and engraved on reverse "Fulham FC J.King 1891". Fulham FC, founded in 1879 had prior to this triumph only won one other Cup competition, namely the West London Cup in 1886-87, and this is a medal from only the second trophy that Fulham had won. Until 1898, Fulham were an amateur side and Jack King was also a member of the Fulham Championship team of 1892-93 (West London League) and was a founder member of the team from the Mud Pond pitch days near Star Lane. This was the first season that this Cup competition was held and Fulham defeated The Stanley 5-3 in the Final after a draw a week earlier. The medal with pin clasp is in good condition and comes with a non-original case. Good

Norman Wilkinson (British, 1878-1971), ‘ The Company’s Research Laboratory, Fulham ’, watercolour on paper. The work depicts a man at work in the laboratory of The London Gaslight & Coke Companies Headquarters, Fulham, London. Signed ‘ Norman Wilkinson 1930 ‘ to lower left. Framed and glazed. Wilkinson, mostly famed for his maritime images, exhibited his work over 500 times. An illustrator and poster artist, he also made an important contribution in both World Wars in the field of dazzle camouflage. Through the dissemination of his posters at railway stations, schools, and government offices, he became one of the countries most famous artists. He was knighted and appointed CBE in 1948. A regular exhibiter at the Royal Academy, Wilkinson was the president of The Royal Institute of the Painters in Watercolours and a member of The Royal Institute of Oil Painters. Provenance, the vendors father worked for North Thames Gas board and acquired the painting from the pictured Laboratory. 53cm x 35cm.
