Irish Victorian Royal Dublin Fusiliers Pencil Sketch of a Private of the Regiment. This sketch depicts a full length study of a Private wearing tunic, fur cap and Slade Wallace equipment. Titled "Private Dublin Fusiliers Marching Order" Signed ‘A. Wilson 1900" Mounted into a contemporary oak glazed frame A label to the reverse indicates the drawing is from the estate of Major General H.W. Higginson who served with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers 1894 to 1916. Overall size 10 1/2 x 13 1/2 inches.
18th Hussars Officer's Busby A very fine example by Hawkes, 14 Piccadilly. Rich sable fur with triple gold purl cords and gold gimp front boss. Dark blue bag trimmed with gold Russia braid and small boss. Fine plume, 15 in. high over all, of white egret over red vulture feathers, with gilt corded socket and ring. Gilt corded chin chain on black patent leather backing lined with blue velvet. Roan leather 12-tongue headband with crimson silk upper element, bearing maker's details; chin chain with minor stitching faults and final links absent from extreme tip of free end, small hole in bag, not affecting the appearance. With good caplines of gold purl cord with acorn finials, four plaited sliders and brass spring clip for fastening under the busby-bag.
7th QO Hussars OR's Issue Busby. A very good example, black fur with scarlet bag with three lines of yellow mohair lace. To the front a yellow cord boss and to the body, three yellow mohair lines. Complete with short white horsehair plume in brass holder and also leather backed chinchain. The interior with leather and cotton sweatband. Issue stamp for 1913. GC.
13th or 19th Hussars OR's Issue Busby. A good example, black fur with white bag with three lines of yellow mohair lace. To the front a yellow cord boss and to the body, three yellow mohair lines. Complete with short white horsehair plume in brass holder and also leather backed chinchain. The interior with leather and cotton sweatband. Paper issue label 1912 and WD stamp for 1913. GC very small fur loss. The chinchain leather has been re-backed and the plume appears a modern issue indicating possibly used for a Regimental Band.
Royal Welsh Fusiliers Victorian Attributed Officer's Fur Cap. A fine and scarce example attributed to Colonel The Hon. Reginald Henry Bertie. Black bearskin, to the front a gilt flaming grenade, the ball mounted with silvered Prince of Wales's plumes. The interior with wicker frame complete with leather lining and leather backed graduated gilt chin chain. The overall condition is good and retains a good shape. Please note there's a bald patch to the right of the grenade, however this is covered when the fur is combed ... Accompanied by original metal storage tin, this retaining engraved brass name plate "Honble R. Bertie 23rd R.W. Fusiliers"
Royal Gloucestershire Hussars Officer's Attributed Busby. A rare and superb example of the fur busby. Plain scarlet bag and to the body of the busby triple bullion cord of regimental pattern with crimson silk line. The interior with brown leather and cotton lining with gold embossed tailor's label of Rodgers . Retains velvet and gilt metal gimp chin chain. To the crown a giltmetal mount supports a scarlet over white plume. Near VGC ... Contained in original metal storage tin, this with an engraved name plaque "A.W. Strickland Esq R.G. Hrs". GC (2 items) Lieutenant A.W Strickland served with the 1/1st Royal Gloucestershire Hussars and landed as a reinforcement at Gallipoli on the 14th August 1915. Surviving he was then garrisoned with the Regiment in Egypt and was reported captured by the Turks at Qatia
German Third Reich K98 dress bayonet by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. Fine single edged plated 25 cm blade with fuller, one side with etched panel bearing eagles with folded wings and swastika, oak sprays and legend "Fur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit". Maker's squirrel logo stamped to the forte. Plated crossguard with upturned quillon and plated eagle head pommel; black composite checkered grips, slight movement to blade. Housed in its black painted steel scabbard bearing black leather frog. VGC

A Russian Imperial enamel car badge, of shield shape decorated with Tsar Nicholas II's coat of arms, with the crowned double headed eagle and with a red enamel shield of St. George and the dragon, late 19th / early 20th century, 14.2 x 10cm, in a later glazed gilt frame. Provenance: By family repute this belonged to Mr Charles Preston an American hero who during the First World War was engaged in amazing exploits including exchanging gold for platinum on behalf of the US government. Charles Preston was a fur trader and travelled extensively throughout Russia during the late 19th century. He was a personal friend of Tsar Nicholas II and raced the Tsar's cars at various events in the early 20th century. This badge was given to Mr Preston by the Tsar. Property from a deceased estate.

JOHANNES GRENNES (Norwegian, 1875-1963); a pair of early 20th century oils on canvas, portrait studies of Mr & Mrs Christensen, the husband the owner of M.Simoni, wine merchant, Aalborg, Denmark, the first depicting the husband wearing a blue suit writing at a work desk, the second depicting the wife wearing a fur ruff in formal upright pose, signed to lower right and left respectively, the first 42 x 48cm, the second 53 x 45cm, both framed, also with a further oil on canvas depicting the aforementioned wine merchant's premises by a different artist, indistinctly signed to lower right (3).
