A late 20th Century striking carriage clock retailed by Garrard & Co, the movement by Epee and having a rectangular white dial with Roman numerals, outer five minute figures and moon hands. The movement has a lever platform escapement. It is contained in a glazed brass 'corniche' style case with cast handle, approx. 15cm H with handle raised, 8cm W, 6cm D.

Darbyshire' and dated 1904, miniature medal bar consisting of the Royal Red Cross 1st Class, Kaisar i Hind Medal 1st Class in Gold, Order of the Hospital of St John, and 1935 Silver Jubilee Medal, mounted as worn, together with 1935 Jubilee medallion, leather nurses belt with silver plated buckles, and portrait photograph/postcard of Ruth Darbyshire, born in 1878 in England Miss Darbyshire moved to Australia with her family, she began training as a nurse in Adelaide and returning to England around the beginning of the Boer War continued at St Thomas' Hospital in London , during her long nursing career Miss Darbyshire was Matron of the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary Derby, Matron of St Mary's Hospital Paddington, Matron of the 2nd London General Hospital Territorial Army Nursing Service, member of The Army Nursing Board, and in 1917 was sent out to India to become Chief Lady Superintendent of Lady Minto's Indian Nursing Association, she was Matron of University College Hospital London, and Matron in Chief of the British Red Cross Society from 1940 to 1943 in London, she was also a founder member of the College of Nursing, she was awarded the Royal Red Cross 1st Class in 1916 by King George V and the Kaisar i Hind Medal in Gold for her First World War services,she was also appointed Lady of Grace of the Order of the Hospital of St John and in January 1942 was awarded the C.B.E. in the New Years Honours List for services to nursing, Miss Darbyshire retired in 1935 due to ill health and passed away on 7th March 1946 at Bromley, Kent, a wonderful grouping to a remarkable Lady

A George IV silver meat dish cover, by Robert Garrard, London 1827, shaped domed oblong form, the finial modelled as a pumpkin, engraved with two crests, length 27.5cm, approx. weight 26oz. The crests are that of Haig and Price. David Haig of Glenagil (1796-1849). He married Elizabeth Price (1810-1833) on 17th March 1828.
λA matched pair of Royal George III silver sauce boats, one possibly by Joseph Steward, London 1765, the other by Robert Garrard, London 1816, oval form, wavy-edge border, leaf capped scroll handle, on three shell capped scroll legs on shell pad feet, engraved with two Royal ciphers, length 20.4cm, approx. weight 22oz., plus a 19th century Old Sheffield plated coffee biggin, by Matthew Boulton, circular baluster form, ivory scroll handle and finial, on a circular foot, possibly later, engraved with an armorial. (3) The ciphers are those of Queen Charlotte and Prince William Henry, Duke of Clarence, (later King William IV).
