1839 (1889) Bradshaw's RAILWAY COMPANION "Railway Timetables and Assistant to Railway Travelling". This is the version dated '10th Mo 25th, 1839 (No 3)' and is almost certainly the 1889 facsimile reprint by Bradshaw to celebrate their half-century, though is not so marked. Pocket-sized, hard covers with gold-leaf title label. Contains timetables, a fold-out map of the railways of England & Wales, town plans, area maps, "hackney coach" fares etc. A little age-foxing in places but otherwise an excellent example. Very small stamp 'Selbourne Library' inside cover. [1]

Linen-backed inside cloth-covered board covers with gold-leaf titling and opens out to 25.5 x 31" (65cm x 79cm). Some age-related wear and foxing but generally in good condition. [1]
Pair of railway MEDALS/BADGES comprising a Great Western Railway (GWR) 25 years First Aid Efficiency 9ct gold & enamel medal issued to employee 1115 William Martin in 1941 with silver & enamel '30 years' bar PLUS a Southern Railway Steward's lapel badge no 11 in enamel on nickel-silver. The former is in excellent condition, the latter in very good, ex-use condition. [2]
Beautiful 22” 1920-1925 French Boudoir Doll. Boudoir Doll has a cloth covered face and painted features, inset lashes, blonde floss silk hair set in curled platted style and ringlets. Composition plaster lower limb sections with gold painted high heel shoes and delicately carved arms, painted fingernails. Wearing Victorian style long pink and peach silk dress with coral pink velvet ribbon, pink and peach flower decorate the dress and matching style headpiece. She is wearing a faux-pearl necklace that has survived from the first quarter of the twentieth century. The condition of the doll is generally in original order, the costume is slightly tired and needs cleaning attention but is completely original with some discolouration to parts. The doll has slight chin damage with also a bluntness to the nose. There is paint flecked loss to the limbs and heel damage to right shoe, hands are complete with all fingers intact.
