Registration – WGU 475FChassis No. – 194678S422375M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 44,085This striking Chevrolet Corvette, ‘WGU475F’ dates from 1968 making it from the first year of C3, third generation production. ‘WGU475F’ spent the majority of its life in the temperate state of Florida before being imported to the UK in 2017. Since then, it has been in the ownership of its first and only UK keeper. ‘WGU475F’ is notable for its high degree of 1968 originality and highly impressive overall condition. This is due to the full restoration it enjoyed before being imported to the UK. ‘WGU475F’ presents in rarer but more desirable four speed manual form and is fitted with the 327 cubic inch small block V8. Today it is offered with a good level of paperwork relating to its time in Florida and a new hood dating from around 2016. ‘WGU475F’ is MOT exempt and zero rated for vehicle excise duty based on its Historic Vehicle status. As such it is ready to use and enjoy immediately and ideal for the summer months in this popular full convertible configuration.‘WGU475F’ is a thoroughly captivating eye full in its bright Sahara Yellow livery, combined with its familiar “roulette wheel” rims and high profile Goodyear tyres with the sidewall text picked out in white. Those big oblong pop-up headlamps and muscular looking rear haunches seem to work so well in this desirable full convertible configuration. Both body and paintwork are vendor rated as “excellent.” The sports orientated cabin also scores highly for originality with even the original factory steering wheel still present. The black vinyl upholstery contrasts very well with the bright external livery and the condition is rated as “good.”The C3 Corvettes were offered with a dizzyingly varied number of engine options and ‘WGU475F’ left the St. Louis plant fitted with the L30 327 cubic inch (5.4L) small block V8. This was carried over from the C2 model and was originally rated at between 300 – 350 bhp. In this case the desirable M20 four speed manual gearbox is fitted. The current vendor rates both engine and transmission as “excellent” with the electrics rated as “good.” All in all, ‘WGU475F’ represents a thoroughly delightful and original looking example of this most iconic of American muscle cars.In summary:· Subject to a pre-import full and thorough restoration· Offered in desirable full convertible configuration with a recently new hood· Featuring the 327 ci V8 mated to the desirable four speed manual transmission

• Comprehensive service and maintenance history • Desirable Boomerang rear lights The Maserati 3200 GT was styled by Italdesign whose founder and head, Giorgetto Giugiaro, previously designed, amongst others, the Ghibli, Bora and Merak and so certainly had the pedigree behind him. Sold mainly in Europe, the 3200 GT shared the twin-turbo 3.2 litre, V8 featured in the Quattroporte IV and Shamal, revised and tuned to 365bhp. The taillights consisted of LEDs arranged in the shape of a boomerang. The outer layer of the 'boomerang' provided the brake light, with the inner layer providing the directional indicator. Sadly, the U.S. insisted on bulbs and so, as is so often the way, style made way for bureaucracy. Nevertheless, it went on to be a great success, until 2007, with the boomerang rear lights being the more desirable. This example is presented in Grigio Touring with unique Piano Black vents, mirrors and wheels and a blue leather interior. Originally sold by Maranello (Egham) in September 1999, the car then changed hands a number of times until it was sold in 2016 through an auction house to motoring journalist Roberto Giordanelli who then had the car renovated at Maserati specialists McGrath. The current owner acquired the car in 2022 and in his words has ‘maintained it as a driver’s car that is kept in regular use, particularly for continental road trips’. The service history is comprehensive and detailed by invoices, the original book pack and toolkit are present as are two keys plus the red master key. Common 3200 GT issues have importantly been tackled including the throttle body and pedal pot, a reconditioned radiator, the front subframe has been replaced, reconditioned gearbox, rear crank seal, prop shaft coupling, valve clearances and shims, turbo retaining bolts and intercooler replacement, rear phonic rings, air conditioning compressor and HVAC unit, various wishbones replaced and more with a £4,000 major cambelt service with new tensioners, bearings and water pump at Emblem in March 2023. Sat on a ‘newish’ set of Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres and with a new MoT until February 2026, our vendor states the car should be ready to enjoy after a minor oil, coolant and brake fluid service in the Spring. One for the Blue Oval connoisseur, highly original, lots of provenance and a condition to warrant a place on the show field or in the concours arena. A Mk1 Mexico at its best. The car presented here is a UK-supplied 1972 Ford Escort Mk1 Mexico, correctly finished in Sunset Red with white stripes and currently owned by one of the foremost Ford collectors and experts in the UK. This is as good as you’d want any Mexico to be. Built in May 1972 at Ford’s AVO factory in Aveley, it was supplied by Ford Rallye Sport dealer, Broadspeed Ltd of Leamington Spa, to a Mr C.G. Blake at a total cost of £1,199 including seatbelts and Ziebart protection and first registered on 14th June 1972.With just four former keepers since, all of them Ford enthusiasts including the AVO Owners Club RS1600 Registrar, William Arnold, for 13 years, there is much provenance to back up its condition. An accompanying comprehensive history file contains two large booklets spanning the entire life of the car from the initial Order Form in 1972 through to the latest service using Ford Motocraft items in July 2024. There are also historic MOT Certificates, the original service book, maintenance invoices and many AVO Club Valuations, including an early one from Mexico Registrar, Andy Percival, for £2,750. Also present are many photos of the meticulous restoration carried out in the late 1990s, which is also magazine-featured and is a testament to how well the car presents today over two decades later. Such was the standard that, when completed in April 2000 and on the cars first outing to AVO National Day, it achieved a third in class and was invited onto the AVO Club Stand at the Classic & Sports Car NEC Show in November 2000.Resplendent in one of the three original launch colours, Sunset Red (Code J), this early production L-specification example retains all the correct period details (such as the rear stone deflector held in by eight bolts in the boot floor and strengthened AVO workmanship). Panel fit is excellent, many still protected by the Ziebart rust protection applied when new and the rear arches are correctly rolled. The lens units are FoMoCo and the front Carello headlamps are protected by clear dome covers. The contrasting Mexico stickers are in fantastic condition, promoting the iconic rally look, with all glass being the genuine Ford Triplex items including the front screen.Inside displays the correct Black PVC upholstery (Code AA), as fitted to ‘L’-specification early cars. Fitted with the factory 140mph speedometer and 8,000rpm rev counter, all gauges, controls and switches are fully operational. The original black one-piece rubber floor mat is also present and in excellent condition. The boot area has the early Mexico’s battery-in-boot setup, meaning the spare wheel is mounted to the boot floor. The boot mat is original and incredibly, the rear cardboard boot spring protector is present along with black light protectors undamaged. The jack and wheel brace are within the original fawn muslin bag held down by the correct rubber band.Under the bonnet resides the matching numbers four-cylinder 1600 GT crossflow engine with the 711M block, quoted in the sales brochure at 86bhp, offering 100mph with little effort and 0-60 in under 11 seconds. Correct specification throughout from the AC oval metal airbox finished in silver to the Weber 32/36 DGV-FA carburettor will also please marque enthusiasts. The top-plate reveals the chassis number and the original VIN plate and AVO ID plate remain fixed to the slam panel.Fitted with the correct pressed steel wheels with the cooling slots measuring 5.5 x 13" and immaculate chrome hubcaps and a matching set of Goodyear GT Sport 175/70 R13. The remote servo-assisted brakes powered by the early Girling Powerstop AHV 550 Mk2A help grip the front discs and the rear drums more than adequately.Interest in Performance Fords from the 1970s and 1980s shows no signs of abating and this remarkable Sunset Red Mexico would be an asset to any enthusiast of these era-defining, characterful, sporting Fords.Specification Make: FORD Model: ESCORT MK1 MEXICO Year: 1972 Chassis Number: BFATMC00089 Registration Number: HAC 522K Transmission: Manual Engine Number: MC00089 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

Registration - SFF 196Chassis No. - 141004259M.O.T. - July 2025Odometer - 33,250Beautifully presented in classic Bronze Green, this example of Land Rover’s Series II pick-up is fitted with a khaki canvas roof. ‘SFF 196’ has an upgraded engine under the bonnet, now using the later, popular Land Rover 200 TDI unit; this 2.5-litre four-cylinder diesel is matched to a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. Other features include freewheeling hubs, halogen headlights, and parabolic springs – all wrapped in the famous Land Rover bodywork, kept in excellent condition. With a number of familiar features for Land Rovers of the same period, ‘SFF 196’ includes mud-flaps, rear grab handles, bonnet-mounted spare wheel, galvanised bonnet clips, rear light guards, and door-mounted wing mirrors; the latter replacing the usual bonnet-mounted mirrors for improved rearward visibility, which are included in the sale. ‘SFF 196’ sits on a set of the highly-regarded Goodyear G90 tyres, and there is a ball and pin towbar with electrics for towing.A three-seat ‘deluxe’ bench is fitted in the front, the outer with high backs and inertia seatbelts – the centre has a lap belt, all upholstered in black leather. The rear bed houses twin, removable bench seats, with load mat fitted, and protecting everything from the elements is the canvas roof, described in ‘like new’ condition. The seller rates the interior as in ‘good’ condition throughout, which includes the original steering wheel, while twin wipers, a Clayton heater with front demist, and footwell mats are all present. The vendor rates the engine and transmission as in ‘good’ condition too, and states that the change in powerplant improves in-gear acceleration, greater power, a quieter cruising speed, and improved fuel economy – further boosted by overdrive and free-wheeling hubs – over the original unit, while the revised springs improve ride comfort. Despite being exempt, the Series II comes with an MOT until August 2025, and the remainder of the Land Rover is also considered to be in strong overall condition; the electrics and paintwork described as ‘good’ and the bodywork rated ‘average’.Beautifully cared-for and highly desirable example of Land Rover’s Series II pick-upFitted with modern 200 TDI engine and revised springs for comfortEquipped with rear seating and ‘as new’ canvas roofFamously designed by Maurice Wilks in the sand of Red Wharf Bay, not even the most optimistic of on-lookers could have expected the runaway success that the Land Rover would become. It all started in 1948 with the Land Rover 80” – though clearly it became known as the Series I; initially it was simply the Land Rover. It came about essentially as a stop-gap for Rover to produce affordable vehicles in post-war Britain, and although inspired by the Willys Jeep, it went on to become hugely successful – not just in terms of sales, but in capabilities too. Over time, Land Rover realised that continued and significant improvements would need to be made, and in 1958 these were significant enough to create a Series II Land Rover, thereafter ensuring the original versions became known as the Series I. The Series II ran from 1958 until 1961 and introduced further variants, including a 12-seater version, as well as Forward Control commercial models, until it was replaced by the Series III 1971.
An exceptional second generation Escort RS Turbo with just 29,264 miles from new. Based on the success of the original model, the Series 2 Escort RS Turbo (produced between 1986-1990) was more suited to daily use, whereas the earlier car was a bit of an 'homologation special'. Many new features were introduced for the S2 including utilising the 1,600cc, fuel-injected, CVH engine taken from the S1 Turbo but now fitted with the Garrett T3 turbo (water-cooled, unlike the S1), revised engine management settings, lower overall gearing, an improved gearbox and limited-slip differential, a larger clutch and improved KE-Jetronic unit and inter-cooler. Suspension and chassis changes included stiffer front and rear springs, uprated anti-roll bars, mechanical ABS and larger brakes. The S2 produced an impressive 132bhp at 5,750rpm, with maximum torque of 133lb/ft produced at 2,750rpm, offering ample performance with a top speed of 125mph and a 0-60mph time of 8.3 seconds. Although on paper these figures were a tad down on the Series 1, the new car was considerably easier to drive quickly and was effectively a faster car.The car presented here is a 1989 Ford Escort RS Turbo S2 (1990-spec) first registered HDZ 2288 on 9th November 1989 and supplied new by Lindsay Cars Ltd, an RS main dealer in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. A little later, it moved to Southern Ireland, from where it was imported to the UK in 2017 prior to being offered for sale by ourselves in 2019. At that point it had covered a mere 29,000 miles, corroborated by early supplying dealer Ford service history and many previous MOT Certificates. At the time (November 2019), we described the car as 'An immaculate example in original unrestored condition, with all original panels and an untouched shell, the engine bay is virtually to show standard, the interior is almost completely unmarked and the car has never been modified from new and remains completely standard'. Our vendor was looking for the best he could find when he bought it and has continued to look after the little Ford to a similar standard, if anything, taking the level of detailing a little further. The alloy wheels have never been refurbished and are still wearing their four original Goodyear NCT50 tyres, the spare alloy and original tyre are unused whilst the luggage compartment looks like brand new. The original Ford exhaust was replaced due to age, with a bespoke replica of the original fitted and the brakes were previously overhauled.During the five years in our vendor's ownership, the car has been stored in a 'bubble' at a respected classic car specialist where it is looked after to a high standard. It will be detailed, serviced and freshly MOT'd prior to the auction so will be in immaculate condition and ready to drive away. It's not a secret that high performance Fords from this era are becoming sought after and we take pride in finding some fabulous examples to bring to market, however this is certainly one of the best examples we have seen and we encourage your inspection at the NEC.Specification Make: FORD Model: ESCORT RS TURBO Year: 1989 Chassis Number: WF0BXXGCABKC87922 Registration Number: G866 ATL Transmission: Manual Engine Number: KC87922 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 29264 Miles Make: RHDClick here for more details and images
Now with something of a 'cult-following', these supremely well engineered 'super-saloons' are highly coveted. From long and dedicated ownership, this is very fine example. The legendary Lotus Carlton is the kind of car that comes along once in a generation. At a time when really fast four-door saloons were the preserve of BMW and Mercedes, this Vauxhall (the Opel-badged LHD derivative was the Lotus Omega) derived 'super-saloon' arrived on the scene, demolishing the opposition. Oddly, it wasn't its huge performance or masculine good looks that created the most fuss, but the fact that the Daily Mail was so outraged by its stated top speed of 176mph that it declared it too fast for British roads. Of course, the Lotus Carlton - or Type 104 to Lotus aficionados - was nothing of the sort and although it shared its major components with a mainstream executive car, its level of development across every aspect of automotive dynamics had resulted in a truly special performance car.Production of the Lotus Carlton began in 1990, four years after the original Carlton/Omega went on sale. Vauxhall/Opel had hoped to build 1,100 cars in total, but owing to the recession of the early 1990s, the Lotus Carlton, priced at £48,000, was not selling as well as anticipated, and production at Lotus was halted in December 1992. Only 950 cars were completed: 320 Carltons and 630 Omegas, 150 short of the original target. It was powered by a twin-turbo version of the venerable straight-six used in the range-topping Senator, which developed a remarkable 377bhp. To achieve that figure, Lotus had put a lot of work into the 3.6-litre power unit, uprating and strengthening the bottom end, porting the 24-valve cylinder head (from the Carlton GSI), and fitting forged 'slipper' pistons made by MAHLE atop new Lotus-designed connecting rods tied to a counterweighted, forged steel crankshaft. The gearbox was the same 6-speed used in the Corvette ZR-1, the only transmission in GM's parts bin, capable of handling the car's monster torque. AP 'Group C' derived brakes - 4-pot calipers with 330mm ventilated discs at the front and 2-pot at the rear - sat behind specially developed Goodyear tyres. Performance was brisk, to say the least. 0-60mph came up in five seconds, 0-100mph was dispatched in 11.1 seconds and in 1992, Autocar magazine recorded a time of 17 seconds for their 0-100-0 challenge, second best behind an F40, however it's the car's maximum speed of 176mph that will always be quoted by its fans. The car presented here is a 1993 Vauxhall Lotus Carlton #809 (denoted by a unique plaque) of the 950 produced, first registered on 8th March 1993, making it late-production example. According to our vendor, who acquired the car in May 2011 (covering only c4.000 miles since then), some of the car’s early life involved a ten-year stint in storage due to it not being required as a daily-driver. Our vendor, an engineer and Lotus Carlton aficionado, has overseen a significant amount of work to the car, including an engine-out rebuild, a new clutch, timing chain, valve guides, water pump, injectors, whilst the twin turbo unit was overhauled. It also benefits from a new fuel tank and stainless-steel exhaust.Likewise, the exterior has seen the body-kit professionally removed and painted, whilst the bonnet has also been painted to tidy up the stone chips. The interior, although still all original (Grundig in-car entertainment system as fitted to the later cars, rather than the earlier Blaupunkt system) does, in some minor places, look a little worn; the seats and headlining are in very good order though. The car is accompanied by its original model-specific book pack, original tool roll, two keys and its original OEM spec exhaust system.Reports do vary, but the usually reliable ones suggest there are only around 70 Lotus Carltons taxed in the UK – a rather exclusive club!'Sledgehammer' was the word often used to describe the performance of these saloons, but Vauxhall footnoted promotional content with the words 'Very few will be made, very few will understand or appreciate it fully'. More than 30 years later, it's fair to say that we do understand and with climbing values, it's undoubtedly fully appreciated.Specification Make: VAUXHALL Model: LOTUS CARLTON Year: 1993 Chassis Number: SCC000019N1232428 Registration Number: K781 APD Transmission: Manaul Engine Number: 30N60858 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 92500 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black leatherClick here for more details and images

In 2000 there was a gearbox overhaul at approximately 85,000 miles and a Turbo Technics turbocharger fitted in 2010. Additional enhancements include a Mongoose stainless steel exhaust, Jamex shocks and lowering springs (resulting in a 25mm drop), an upgraded Airtec radiator with twin electric cooling fans, a CVH34 fast road camshaft, an oil cooler, a High Torque starter motor and a Clifford Concept 600 alarm/immobilizer system. A June 2018 rolling road tune-up, evidenced an impressive 157.8bhp and 175lb-ft of torque, beyond the factory specifications. The RS Turbo has recently benefitted from new Goodyear tyres and an oil and filter change. The vendor has advised that 'it continues to run smoothly and maintains an ideal operating temperature also in part thanks to the upgraded cooling system. At the time of writing, a valid MOT is in place until November 2024, however, it is expected to possess a fresh MOT certificate in time for the sale. With its original handbooks present within the original wallet, this vehicle is also offered with a substantial collection of old MOT certificates. The growing demand for fast Fords in the collector's market makes this well-preserved Escort RS Turbo a compelling opportunity and is offered at 'No Reserve'.
