Both of the actions work, in that the hammers can be pulled up and then are released when the trigger is squeezed; Jezail with some missing inlay particularly notable on the end of the stock where there appears to be evidence of attempted repair and along the underside of the barrel, also the addition of recent metal work to the top of the barrel to hold it in place. The Tower Musket appears to have been recently cleaned and repaired with evidence of recent screws and alterations to the percussion hammer

The musket with a brass-bound stock, the lockplate stamped with the maker's name and London.122cm long In used and worn condition, oxidised overall, signs of old woodworm, lock mechanism seemingly works. The hammer holds when both half and fully cocked and the trigger releases it with ease when fully cocked, emitting sparks as the flint is present. The barrel is 82cm from the end to where it meets the stock. With its ramrod, it is 125cm long, without it is 122cm long
