Stacks of boxes filled the shelves of Ollivanders, the shop Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) visited in Diagon Alley to purchase a wand. These boxes were gifted to attendees of the film's world premiere at Leicester Square in 2001. One in red and the other in black. Rowling (J.K.) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, first edition, original pictorial boards, dust-jacket with very slight creases to spine, 8vo, 2005.*** This is one of the two copies of the first edition stolen from the warehouse at Corby prior to the launch of the book. A police investigation discovered that two security guards were responsible for the theft after they had tried to obtain money from the Sun newspaper in the form of a 'ransom'. The details of the book were not released early and the two responsible were dealt with by the criminal courts. After the court case, in which this copy was one of the exhibits, it was presented to the head of security as a reward for his work on the case.

Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) received a number of letters from Hogwarts inviting him to study, which were destroyed by Vernon Dursley (Richard Griffiths), and stacks of boxes filled the shelves of Ollivanders, the shop Harry visited in Diagon Alley to purchase a wand. The sealed lid of the cardboard box features a green textured effect and an oval gold-coloured Ollivanders-branded label. There is a small metal hoop attached at one end, to make retrieval from the shelf easier. The envelope is addressed to "Mr H Potter, The Cupboard Under the Stairs, 4, Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey" and features the Hogwarts coat of arms on the back, as well as a printed image of a wax seal. Each of the three photos is framed, two feature portraits and one features only a background, presumably to facilitate it's use as one of the film's "moving portraits". The paintings come with three plaques, displaying the names of pictured wizards, "Seraphina Bones", "The Greatets Ever User of Love Potions, Oswald Plumpton", and "Ibengist Rawke". Two of the portraits feature exposed metal screws emerging from the back, likely from being hung on set, and metal backings which exhibit some rust. HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE (2001) - Gringotts Bank Items - A collection of Gringotts Bank items from Chris Columbus' fantasy adventure film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The goblins of Gringotts Bank kept cheques on their desks, speared on metal spikes, and Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) later read about a break-in at the bank in a copy of the Daily Prophet newspaper). This lot comprises a Gringotts bank ledger; two Gringotts Bank cheques; a black feather quill; a Daily Prophet newspaper; a Gringotts Bank coin bag containing foam coins; and two gold bars, one large, one small. The coin bag is filled with grey foam nuggets to mimic coins and has a drawstring closure. The gold bars are made of plastic and painted gold. The bars exhibit some minor wear, and each cheque features a small hole from the tellers' metal spikes. However, all the items remain in otherwise very good condition. Replicas of the golden snitch from the film's Quidditch scenes were gifted to Warner Bros. executives and VIPs to commemorate the film's release. Only 50 are thought to have been produced.This snitch is constructed of gold-colour plated brass with wings featuring a chrome-colour finish. Also included is a custom-made wooden box with a black velvet interior, brass clasps, and a brass plaque reading "Golden Snitch." The lot exhibits minor scuffs from handling. In the first film, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) learnt to fly on a broom during a class taught by Madame Hooch (Zoe Wanamaker). In the sequel, Lockhart's books were seen in Diagon Alley and his classroom at Hogwarts.The prototype comprises a metal handle and a wooden broom section. Lockhart's book has a paper cover and is filled in with polystyrene.
