Horikawa (SH Toys of Japan) "Space Ruler Machine Gun" - scarce 1960's battery operated toy gun of tinplate construction - gunmetal grey with brown handle, some minor storage marks otherwise Excellent Plus and comes in a Good colourfully illustrated box with inner packaging, 21.5"/55cm long.
Sinclair (Isabella). Indigenous Flowers of the Hawaiian Islands. Forty-four Plates Painted in Water-colours and Described by Mrs. Francis Sinclair Jr., 1st edition, London: Sampson Low, Marston, Searle, and Rivington, 1885, 44 chromolithograph plates after Sinclair by Leighton Brothers, light toning/staining to nine plates (nos. 16-24), gutta-percha perished and contents detached, some spotting mostly to title, early inscription to front blank 'From R.J. Lillie to Mrs S.A. Smith, Xmas 1890', all edges gilt, original gilt-blocked pictorial cloth, cloth torn with loss at head of front board and spine torn also with loss, worn, folio (36.7 x 27.2 cm) QTY: (1)NOTE:Great Flower Books, p.139; Nissen BBI 1848.The author collected the flowers depicted on the islands of Kauai and Niihau, the most northern of the Hawaiian Archipelago. the appearance of each was recorded as the author feared that many species would be lost. Joseph Dalton Hooker assisted with the botanical names of the plants.H. St. John in Pacific Science, 1954: "This is the first book with colour pictures of Hawaiian flowering plants... Even today it has more colour plates of Hawaiian plants than any other book".Don R. Severson, Michael D. Horikawa and Jennifer Saville, Finding Paradise: Island Art in Private Collections, Honolulu, 2002, p. 178: "Published in the form of a typical Victorian 'floral album,' Isabella Sinclair's series of watercolours was by far the most luxurious guide to Hawaiian flora to have been published up to that time".

Einco, Horikawa - A vintage Japanese made Einco Wind Up Gear Robot. The plastic robot made by Horikawa (branded with SH within diamond to rear) appears to be in Fair Plus condition showing signs of play and use which would benefit from cleaning, and is housed within a Poor - Fair lift off illustrated lid box with creasing, tears, plus age and storage related wear. Horikawa: A boxed Horikawa, battery operated, tinplate, Rotate-o-Matic, Super Astronaut: Automatic Action, Stop 'n' Go, Swing Open Door, Blinking and Shooting Gun, Realistic Shooting Noise, Rotating Body, Made in Japan, height approx. 31cm. Working order but in need of a little bit of attention. Some box damage.
Horikawa (SH Toys) Japan - A boxed tinplate battery operated 'Fighting Robot' by Horikawa of Japan. The Robot in gunmetal grey measures approximately 29cms in height, and has a clear plastic chest cover over tin printed detailing to the body and a protruding plastic gun, together with a plastic gear compartment to the head. The robots does have some corrosion mainly to the rear of the body, plus front of left leg. The battery compartment has also suffered from corrosion. The rocker switch at the bottom of the clear chest compartment is broken, but the parts are present. The illustrated lift off lid box appears in Very Good condition with some minor taping, creases, a scuff to one side plus general wear. A desirable, and displayable item!
Tinplate: A vintage tinplate battery operated Mr Zerox robot made in Japan by Horikawa (SH) for Telsalda. Rare Gold Feet version in original picture box. Dark grey body, red/yellow hat, gold feet. Clean battery box. Walks with swinging arms, flashing guns to chest. Chest door not opening, otherwise in very good original condition. Along with a Lilliputian tinplate clockwork robot In working order in original box.
