CATRIN HOWELL (born 1969); a stoneware sculpture of a mythical winged dog standing on the back of another dog, blue and green surface staining, incised words (indecipherable) to base, height 36cm. (D) Howell is interested in the roles that animals play in mythology and the way they are used to convey narratives, both ancient and contemporary. She was Winner of the Arts Council of Wales Creative Wales Award, 2007 and Gold Medallist in Craft and Design, National Eisteddfod of Wales, 1998.
