(38cm.) long, weight without inkwells 34.2 tr.oz.* Condition: In very good condition - crisp clear marks and no faults. Tiny frit to one corner of one inkwell, otherwise good.

A collection of small grand tour items including a late grand tour cast bronze model of an ancient Roman oil lamp, 19th century, with twin mask head spouts and leafy mantle over a pedestal foot. 19 cm wide (cover missing) together with an A&AB patent twin asp handled oil lamp, a specimen marble obelisk, a classical ormolu urn with swag and goats mask decoration, a small gilt bronze tripod form inkwell body and cove, gilt bronze furniture capital mounts and a niello worked hinged box and a rustic Doric column fragment.

A rare and early Lowestoft blue and white inkwell, c.1760, the cylindrical form with slightly sloping shoulders, painted with birds perched on flowering Oriental branches, the shoulder with four circular quill holes around a central opening, traces of a painter's number, some cracking, 6.6cm dia.Provenance: formerly the Gilbert Bradley Collection.Illustrated: Christopher Spencer, Early Lowestoft, p.84, fig.99.
A Secessionist rectangular brass and copper ink stand, c.1910, with two covered ink wells, on animal form supports, 30cm x 19cm Condition Report: Generally worn and with some small spots of tarnishing in areas overall consistent with age and use. The handles of the inkwell covers are dull in colour as a result of handling over a long period of time. The inside of the lids with circular tarnish marks. Liners are lacking to the inkwells. The underside is missing one small screw and there is residue from 4 old sticky labels. There are faintly visible seams running vertically through the animal supports where the stand has been cast in four sections and joined together when first made.
