A group of three 19th-century seal fobs; including a rock crystal three-sided swivel fob seal, one of the sides engraved with an intaglio depicting a bust of Selene, the second panel depicting ivy vine entwined around a tree stump, along with 'Je Meurs Ou Je M'Attache' (I die where I attach myself), the last panel centred with the crest of Earl Ligonier, a demi-lion rampant, along with motto 'Quo Fata Vocant' (Whither the fates call); with another three-sided swivel fob seal in smoky quartz, engraved with initials of Lady Davy (Jane Davy), to a gilt foliate mount; lastly comprising a faceted and stylised rock crystal with applied decorations and garnet accents, the oval seal engraved with initials AEF (?) on an oval cartouche suspending from a ribbon and elaborated floral garlands. An Essex Crystal Reverse Intaglio Brooch painted to depict a falcon with its prey in the form of a duck amongst foliage, to a mother-of-pearl background, in a yellow rubbed over setting and a pierced and openwork framemeasures 4.4cm by 3.6cmThe brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and visor catch. It is stamped '18' and in our opinion would test as gold. Gross weight 18.57 grams. CR made 09.05.23.

Gill (Eric) Four variant intaglio prints, and three relief prints of 'The Sofa', including two variant working proof engravings, delicately printed with plate tone, signed in pencil with initials, both inscribed 'proof', two unsigned engravings on thick wove paper with wide margins, and the three unsigned wood-engravings, the former each platemark approx. 105 x 70 mm (4 1/8 x 2 3/4 in), the latter images each approx. 110 x 70 mm (4 1/4 x 2 3/4 in), mostly good margins, some scattered spotting and minor surface dirt, all unframed, [cf. Included with the lot is a manuscript pen and ink list of the prints, probably in Gill's hand, which describes the number of variant editions and their prices and dates, as well as identifying the nude: 'Portrait of Mrs Gibbings/ (nude, sitting in chair)'.

a 19th century circular steel seal, the matrix engraved intaglio with a view of the Bristol Sugar Refinery* with buildings, barrels & a chimney, flanked by sugar canes, above the coat of arms of the company, and surrounded with the inscription "BRISTOL SUGAR REFINERY COMPANY LIMITED, 1863", the side stamped "WYON REGENT STT LONDON"; 2.1" (5.5cm) diameter * The Bristol Sugar Refinery was formed in 1863. Due to the bankruptcy of the Old Market Refinery, this previous refinery was destroyed by a fire in 1854 and rebuilt at great costs which bankrupted one of the partners. One of the other partners (William Stock), sold it to a public company (The Bristol Sugar Refinery Co. Ltd), the new company ceased trading in 1912, but the building is still standing today and used for other purposes.
