†BERNARD LEACH (1887-1979); a watercolour study of an oriental pilgrim, painted BL mark, inscribed 'By Bernard Leach from the collection of Guy Worsdell (artist)' verso, diameter 17.5cm, framed and glazed.Provenance: Guy Worsdell collection. Worsdell was involved in the selection of Leach's work for the retrospective exhibition at the V&A to mark Leach's 90th birthday. The exhibition featured a dish decorated with the oriental pilgrim and mountain pattern, made 1965 (loaned by Janet Leach) - see C. Hogden ed., 'The Art of Bernard Leach' (London 1978), fig. 110.Condition Report: Appears good with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

(d) A large bowl of slightly irregular circular shape, with a tenmoku glaze to the interior, a glazed band around the rim and the remainder of the bowl unglazed.
