CONDITION REPORT: The figure has losses - it used to have something in his right hand but is now chips to both sides, also there are some minor splits to the ivory.

A pair of large Japanese Meiji period cloisonné vases of baluster form, decorated with birds and butterflies amongst chrysanthemum, peonies and bamboo, within two decorative bands to the top and bottom, height 31.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both have scratches to the surface, also minor losses along the wires, firing bubbles throughout, major dent to one in the upper section with traces of wax restoration. The same vase has a loss to the decoration above the base.
An interesting group of twelve Japanese Meiji period circular buttons with overlaid decoration of butterflies and dragonflies amongst floral sprays, diameter approx 2.7cm. CONDITION REPORT: Some surface scratches, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A mixed lot of costume jewellery to include various brooches, simulated pearl bead necklaces, etc, also two cased pairs of cufflinks, and further examples, a hallmarked silver napkin ring, a group of sundry British coinage, three magnifying glasses (af), and a Japanese style musical jewellery box.
A small collection of Japanese Satsuma headed hatpins comprising a pair with shaped flat heads decorated with flowers and leaves, a similarly shaped pair decorated with figures, both pairs with silver mounts stamped with a Japanese character, each diameter 4cm, a globular headed hatpin decorated with a continuous domestic scene of figures, and an example with a longer head decorated with figures (6).
