JULIO BAUZA (Uruguay, 1936)."Geométricas cromáticas, Primavera".Wood and acrylic on Fabriano paper.Signed and titled in the lower area.Measurements: 44,5 x 44,5 cm.The piece presents forty-nine cubes whose colour degrades from the outside to the inside, starting from a more intense shade of green to a lighter one. The piece shows a great interest in the volumetric study and the incidence of colour on form. Thus creating a sculptural image.Painter, ceramist, writer and sculptor Julio Bauza received his doctorate in architecture from the University of Montevideo in 1974. In 1975 he travelled to France where he studied Archaeology at the University of Aix and in 1976 he went on holiday to Ibiza, where he has lived for the last 40 years. His early artistic research was characterised by his work in ceramics, and later, in the 1990s, he began to work on planes. About his work, the writer Carlos García-Osuna has commented: "Those who approach Bauzá's work will become aware that his break with figurative art is indisputable, as well as his use of waste materials to which he gives a new formulation, a brand new language that determines a step forward in a poetics of apparent vulgarity, which he imbues with a symbolism in which the imagination is a form as multiple as the thoughts that have determined it in the artistic sphere since the beginning of the 20th century". Since 1980 he has exhibited in various galleries in Ibiza, Barcelona and Madrid, with the exhibition 'Geometrías cromáticas', held at the Madrid gallery Marita Segovia in 2015, standing out.

SINGLETON OF DUFFTOWN 12 YEAR OLDSingle malt. One of the best-known single malt whisky brands in the world, Singleton, is not actually a distillery, but rather three distilleries: Glen Ord, Glendullan and Dufftown. Originally, each one catered to a specific global market based on its flavour profile, but these days they can each be found further afield. With spirit stills that are larger than its wash stills, Dufftown used to produce a heavier spirit described as “nutty and spicy”. However, more recently it has lengthened its fermentation time for a lighter, grassier flavour that better suits (parent company) Diageo’s blending requirements.40% ABV / 70clABERLOUR 10 YEAR OLDSingle malt.Named after the small Speyside town in which it resides, Aberlour distillery has cultivated a dedicated following, particularly in France where it is frequently the top selling single malt. The spirit it produces ages extremely well in Sherry casks and has a distinctive note of blackcurrant.Although it boasts an extensive core range, the expression it is perhaps best known for is the consistently excellent small batch A’Bunadh.40% ABV / 70cl
