Sowohl die Texte als auch die Lithographien sind als Hommage an die pulsierende Metropole zu verstehen. - Papierbedingt etw. gebräunt, teils im weißen Rand etw. stockfleckig (Druck nicht betroffen), einige Bll. etw. beschnitten. Insgesamt wohlerhaltenes Exemplar mit durchweg satten u. kreidigen Lithographien. Portfolio with 10 lithographs. Orig. half vellum wing folder with cover lithograph (somewhat browned, scuffed a. soiled). - One of 150 copies on strong wove paper. -n Early graphic series by Grossmann, who lived and worked in Berlin after studying in Paris. Both the texts and the lithographs are to be understood as a homage to the pulsating metropolis. - Somewhat browned due to paper, a few leaves in the white margins slightly foxed (prints not affected), partly somewhat trimmed. Altogether well-preserved copy with rich and chalky lithographs throughout.

Selten, für uns kein weiteres Exemplar in Institutionen oder im Handel nachweisbar. - Brettspiel rund um das Thema Schauspiel mit einer Darstellung des im klassizistischen Stil von Schinkel erbauten Berliner Schauspielhauses am Gendarmenmarkt. Mit insgesamt 45 nummerierten Spielfeldern, darunter vier thematische Feldern mit den Überschriften Lustspiel, Schauspiel, Oper und Ballet sowie zahlreichen weiteren mit Überschriften wie Souffleur, Kapellmeister, Coulissenschieber, Sängerin, Komiker, Director etc. Sechs zusätzliche Felder mit Würfelaugen die wohl Belohnungen bzw. Bestrafungen je nach Augenzahl darstellen. - Stockfleckig und teils fingerfleckig. Mit mehrfachen, geglätteten Falzen, dort teils mit kurzen Einrissen im Blattrand. Verso mit Anschmutzungen. Farben sehr gut erhalten. Royal theatre in Berlin. Board game in original colour lithograph. Circa 1870. Signed "R. Meinhardt fec." in the stone lower left. - Rare, no other copy in institutions or on the market traceable for us. - Board game on the theme of theatre with a depiction of the Berlin theatre on Gendarmenmarkt, built in the classicist style by Schinkel. With a total of 45 numbered playing fields, including four thematic fields with the headings comedy, theatre, opera and ballet as well as numerous others with headings such as prompter, bandmaster, coulisse pusher, singer, comedian, director, etc. Six additional fields with dices which probably represent rewards or punishments depending on the number of points. - Foxing and partly fingerstained. With several smoothed folds, some with short tears in the margins. Reverse with smudges. Colours in very good condition.

Mit dem Titel wird auf einen Planetoiden verwiesen, welcher 1861 von dem Astronomen Ernst Wilhelm Tempel entdeckt und zu Ehren des damaligen bayerischen Königs Maximilian II. benannt wurde. - Einzelne Bll. etw. gelockert (die Bindung jedoch fest). Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltenes Exemplar mit farbsatter und kreidiger Original-Lithographie. With signed and numbered orig. colour lithograph by Max Ernst. Orig. cloth binding with silver embossed cover vignette and title on spine in orig. cloth slipcase (the slipcase minimally rubbed a. somewhat soiled). - The first of 69 copies. - With orig. lithograph in 7 colours printed on Arches wove paper. - With numerous, partly coloured illustrations after photographs and collages. - The title of the edition as well as the short film "Maximiliana", created in 1966 in collaboration with Schamoni, points to one of Ernst's most important portfolios with the same title from 1964, which contained 28 etchings and 6 aquatints. The title is a reference to a planetoid which was discovered in 1861 by the astronomer Ernst Wilhelm Tempel and named in honour of the Bavarian King Maximilian II. - A few leaves loosened (binding however firm). Altogether a very well-preserved copy with an original lithograph in richly saturated and chalky impression.

Binding signed: Ferdinand Bakala, Vienna. - With bookplate of the Hamburg actor Robert Meyn. - One of 25 Roman numbered copies of the special edition with the hand-coloured lithographs (total ed. 525). Signed by Gabór on the title page and by the translator Ludwig Goldscheider in the printer's note. - In the margins delicately browned and very sporadically minimally brownspotted. Overall a good copy with beautiful colouring.

Einige wenige Blatt leicht randgegilbt bzw. -gebräunt, sehr wenige Blatt gebräunt, teils vereinzelte blasse Flecken, sehr wenige Blatt mit vereinzelter, sehr leichter Griff-/Knickspur oder Bestoßung, Mischtechnik mit Leimspur eh. Montierung, insgesamt sehr gut bis noch gut. Als Antin sich an Warhol wandte, um das Cover für eine Ausgabe zum Vietnamkrieg zu gestalten, war Warhol zunächst begeistert von der Idee einer Vietcong-Flagge, doch Antin bestand darauf, einen Kriegsslogan als Knopf oder Aufkleber zu verwenden. - Mit zahlreichen Illustrationen und Beiträgen von Allen Ginsberg, Jackson Mac Low, Carol Berge, Charles Bukowski, Gerard Malanga, u.a. - Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltene und saubere Exemplare. 4 vols. Each orig. ill. brochure (1 vol. in lower spine with small defect, perforation with 1 very short tear, partly somewhat rubbed a. soiled). - Rare. - With original offset lithograph cover designed by Andy Warhol, consisting of perforated stamp paper, printed with "Bomb Hanoi" and "some/thing Hanoi". - Contains: as listed above. - Some/thing was an influential literary magazine which published works by important American avant-garde poets such as Allen Ginsberg, Charles Bukowski and Gerard Malanga. When Antin approached Warhol to design the cover for an issue on the Vietnam War, Warhol was initially enthusiastic about the idea of a Vietcong flag, but Antin insisted on using a war slogan as a button or sticker. - With numerous illustrations and contributions by Allen Ginsberg, Jackson Mac Low, Carol Berge, Charles Bukowski, Gerard Malanga, et al. - Overall very well-preserved and clean copies.
