Barincou, A. -- Les arts et la décence. Lithographie. 24,9 x 19,7 cm. IFF 11.Bei der vorliegenden amüsanten Darstellung handelt es sich um ein kulturhistorisch interessantes Zeitdokument. Eine junge Kunststudentin arbeitet nach der Antike und zeichnet die Statue eines nackten griechischen Athleten. Eine mürrisch hereinschauende alte Frau bedeckt vorsorgshalber seine vitalen Teile mit dem koketten Hut der jungen Frau. Die Inschrift kommentiert diese Begebenheit und verweist auf den mühseligen Spagat zwischen den Idealen der Kunst und den bürgerlichen Anstandsregeln. Gleichwohl ist die Darstellung auch ein Verweis auf das repressive kulturelle Klima der Restauration in Frankreich. Ihr Autor, der Pariser Lithograph A. Barincou tat sich in den 1820er Jahren mit Karikaturen und Genreszenen in der Art des Horace Vernet hervor. Interessant und selten ist die Tatsache, dass die Lithographie mit der Paraphe und dem Stempel der offiziellen Zensurbehörde versehen ist. Der Stempel trägt das Datum des 21. Mai 1824. Ausgezeichneter Druck mit Rand. Um 1919/1920.Der Maler und Lithograph Giovanni Guerrini war Schüler von Antonio Berti in Faenza und bildete sich in Florenz und Rom weiter. Der Künstler debütierte im Jahre 1907 und beteiligte sich regelmäßig an den Biennalen von Venedig und Rom. Das vorliegende großformatige und sehr atmosphärische Blatt ist in einem äußerst verfeinerten und technisch hochentwickelten Duktus ausgeführt. Thematisch erinnert die Lithographie an Arbeiten des Giovanni Segantini. - Prachtvoller, feinzeichnender und nuancierter Druck mit breitem Rand.
