Il contesto che viene presentato è violento, come se fosse stata ritratta una scena che anticipa una battaglia. In primissimo piano, infatti, si trovano armi, come un rudimentale cannone, e oggetti inneggianti alla guerra, quali tamburi e trombe. In secondo piano, si vedono vari gruppi di personaggi intenti a compiere attività agricole stancanti o a costruire fortificazioni mentre, in lontananza, nascosta tra le montagne, si intravede una serie di edifici che sembra andare in fiamme. Betty Fletcher was an actress and variety artist, married to Cyril Fletcher, actor and comedian. Throughout the 1930's, 40's and 50's she performed on radio, the stage and in early television films and productions, notably pantomimes and was later writing and producing her own together with her husband. She died in 2005, in Guernsey, aged 93.
