A solitaire diamond ring, an old cut diamond inset to a tapering shank, estimated diamond weight 0.60 carat approximately, finger size M The ring is in good condition. It is stamped '18' and in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamond are; colour H/I, clarity SI2/I1. Gross weight 4.6 grams. Condition Report made 28th July 2017.

After his death in 1824, his son, George Austin succeeded the business until his own death in 1839, when Mr R. M. Wood, Samuel & Thomas Sharwood entered partnership of the foundry, ''Wood and Sharwood's Austin Letter Foundry''

Illustration Interest Signed Original Ink And Watercolour Illustration 'Noah's Ark' By M. Alizon Edmonds Original colour illustration by accomplished commercial artist and illustrator Mona Alizon Edmonds. Edmonds was a freelance illustrator and animal portrait artist working from the early part of the 20th century, through to the late 1970's. Her commissions included canine portraits for private clients, book and magazine illustrations and works for various councils and tourist boards. Framed and mounted behind glass, this exquisitely detailed illustration depicts a cut away image of the ark, revealing it's many animal inhabitants. The sea and storm are rendered in stylised pointilist dashes and lines with multitude sea creatures entwined. Atop the ark sits a solitary raven, above angels are rendered in white ink. Approx dimensions, 14 x 10 inches.

This exquisite example of early 20th century illustration depicts Prospero and Miranda from Shakespeare's The Tempest. Executed in monochrome watercolour with white ink accents. Caliban is depicted to bottom right whilst Ariel and sprites cling to the trees. Pencil signed to bottom right M. Alizon Edmonds. Framed and mounted behind glass, approx dimensions, 7 x 10 inches. Some foxing and staining to mount.
