FREDDY VS. JASON (2003) - Jason Voorhees' (Ken Kirzinger) Screen-matched Hero MacheteJason's (Ken Kirzinger) screen-matched hero machete from Ronny Yu's horror crossover Freddy vs. Jason. Jason used his machete throughout the film, while cutting down teenagers and fighting against Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund). At one point, he even had it turned against him by Freddy. Production designer John Willett designed the film's machetes, and many were made for a variety of different uses and "gags".This machete matches the one on-screen through markings and tarnishing on the blade, most clearly in the fight between Freddy and Jason in Jason's dream but also to several other scenes throughout the film. It can also be matched to a promotional still featuring both Freddy and Jason. The machete's blade is made of aluminium and its resin handle is wrapped in white tape. The weapon has been intentionally distressed to appear well used and the blade retains some spots of stage blood. RAMBO (2008) - Rambo's (Sylvester Stallone) Stunt MachetesAn SFX stunt machete and a partially bladed hero stunt machete from Sylvester Stallone's action sequel Rambo. John Rambo (Stallone) forged a machete in a furnace and used it in several action sequences, including one where he decapitated an enemy soldier, and another where he impaled warlord Major Pa Tee Tint (Muang Muang Khin). A machete with a partial blade was used in the subsequent scene, in which Rambo disembowelled Tint. In an interview, Stallone said he chose a machete because he wanted Rambo "to forge a crude knife that is basically, him: nothing pretty, nothing glamorous."The SFX machete is made of rubber with a squared faux blade. The partially bladed machete is made of metal with tape along the edges of the blade for safety. The handles of both machetes are wrapped in black grip tape, and a small carrying strap is tied through a hole at the bottom of each handle. The SFX machete blade exhibits some flaking, and both machetes show some wear from production, but they remain in good overall condition.Dimensions (SFX machete): 48 cm x 7 cm x 2 cm (19" x 2 3/4" x 3/4"); (partially bladed machete): 24 cm x 6 cm x 2 cm (9 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 3/4") Estimate: £4,000 - 6,000 MThis lot will be auctioned on Thursday, November 3rd.
