DIEGO MARADONA 1982/83 MATCH WORN BARCELONA UNIFORMThe iconic Diego Maradona joined FC Barcelona in the summer of 1982 for a world-record transfer fee of $7.6 million from Argentina's Boca Juniors, introducing the diminutive playmaker to the highly-competitive world of European soccer. Maradona took to the European game instantly, and although he only played with Barcelona for two seasons, his impact on the club and La Liga cannot be overstated, scoring 22 goals in his 36 appearances.Offered is an FC Barcelona kit worn by Maradona during his tenure with the club during the 1982/83 season. The jersey features Maradona's iconic number "10" printed on the back in white numerals over Barca's timeless red and blue vertical stripes. Barcelona's crest and a logo for kit manufacturer Meyba are sewn onto the jersey's front. Meyba manufactured the Barcelona kits from 1982-1992, a period of great success for the Blaugrana. The jersey is size G and exhibits noticeable wear and the shorts are size 6. A Meyba tag is sewn onto the back inside collar of the kit. The jersey comes with an LOA.
DIEGO MARADONA 1993/94 MATCH WORN #10 ARGENTINA JERSEYPresented is an Argentina National Team jersey used by Diego Maradona between 1993 and 1994. The diminutive attacking midfielder led Argentina to the 1986 FIFA World Cup title in one of sport's greatest individual performances, scoring five goals and assisting five more throughout the tournament as Argentina defeated West Germany in a thrilling final. Such magic, however, could not be recaptured at the end of his international career; with La Albiceleste's struggles in the 1994 World Cup qualifiers and then their early departure from the tournament in the United States with Maradona's failed drug test and subsequent suspension being the final nail in the coffin the golden era carried by Argentina's favoured son came to a swift and abrupt end. The offered jersey features Maradona's number "10" in the felt applique style. An "AFA" gold crest is embroidered on the jersey's upper left chest, with a black Adidas logo resting on the opposite right chest. The jersey exhibits moderate use. Sized T4.
DIEGO MARADONA 1986/87 MATCH WORN AND SIGNED #10 NAPOLI JERSEYVery few athletes are revered to such a level as Diego Maradona is by his fellow Argentines. The diminutive forward established himself as a national team talisman, culminating in the divine "Hand of God" goal he netted in the 1986 World Cup quarterfinals against England (nor should we forget the "Goal of the Century" later in that match, that wound up being the game-winner). So it's easy to forget the contributions Maradona made outside of his national team duties; indeed, "El Pibe de Oro's" club career took him across two continents, winning titles with FC Barcelona and SSC Napoli.Presented is a rare SSC Napoli red jersey used by Diego Maradona during the 1986/87 season. Across all competitions, Maradona made 41 appearances while scoring 17 goals as the club's star Argentine helped bring home the first-ever Serie A league title for Gli Azzurri. The red knit pullover jersey features Maradona's iconic number "10" in tackle twill. An SSC Napoli embroidered patch rests on the jersey's upper right chest opposite the Nicola Raccuglia "NR" sportswear logo on the left. The Italian food company "Buitoni" advertisement wordmark is painted across the jersey's chest which can be seen from inside the jersey. The jersey exhibits evidence of moderate use. Sized G. The jersey was also signed by Maradona with a black marker.
A Trevor Francis Soccer Camp shirt by Umbro bears No. 11 to the back, together with three other miscellaneous football shirts*SOLD WITH A LETTER OF CONFIRMATION STATING THE ABOVE LOT HAS COME FROM THE ESTATE OF THE LATE TREVOR FRANCIS*The estate has stated "I would say that Trevor wasn’t into collecting shirts / memorabilia as such himself. He preferred to keep only items which meant something significant to him personally. Specifically, he did speak about the shirt swap with Maradona and I remember on one occasion he thought he had mislaid it and was very concerned at the time, but he did locate it. Trevor bought and sold many homes and his shirts etc were never displayed and basically stored in suitcases or plastic crates. The Maradona shirt was a game swapped shirt, and from memory, I think there is a mud stain on the shirt. With regard to Zidane and Rivaldo, and on the basis of them meaning something to Trevor, I believe they were game worn shirts.I can’t give you any complete guarantee on the shirts but I do think he would not have retained them all those years ( and stored and transported them through many house moves !) if they didn’t mean a lot to him personally and were of significance."
