DOCTOR WHO: WARRIORS' GATE (T.V. SERIES, 1981) - Privateer Crew Pistol - A Privateer crew pistol from the Doctor Who serial television series Warriors' Gate. Captain Rorvik (Clifford Rose) and the crew of his ship, the Privateer, wielded futuristic pistols while attacking the TARDIS and taking the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) and Romana (Lalla Ward) hostage.The Privateer crews' distinctive black pistols were designed by renowned series visual effects designer Mat Irvine and constructed by fellow effects artist Ron Thornton. Following production, the pistols were reused and repainted silver-color for Season 4 of Terry Nation's Blake's 7.This heavyweight pistol with a slatted grip and hooded laser muzzle is cast from metal. In addition to exhibiting minor adhesive residue, its silver-color finish exhibits flaking, exposing some of the black paint from Warriors' Gate on both sides.
