MEISSEN; an early 18th century tea bowl and saucer with Chinoiserie decoration, the tea bowl with floral sprays to the centre and opposing vignettes to the exterior, the saucer with vignette to the centre and triple iron red ring marks to the reverse, bearing label inscribed 'Klaber & Klaber, Meissen c.1723', the saucer apparently unmarked, the tea bowl with gilt mark, diameter of saucer 13.2cm, diameter of tea bowl 7.5cm.Additional InformationThe pieces are matched, so very close as a pair, but are matched. There are subtle differences. Minor rubbing to the gilding and some very light fritting to the rims, but otherwise ok.

There is a piece lacking to the torch at the top cherub's left hand. There is a small hairline crack to the rim of the ewer. There is a finger lacking to the standing cherub's left hand. There is a repair to the left leg of the crouched cherub. There are nibbles to the rim of the hat. There is minor age-related colour fading to the glaze.
