A Staffordshire porcelain flower encrusted ewer and stopper, probably by Minton, circa 1820, the slender baluster body and scroll handle finely encrusted with colourful flowers, on a scroll moulded base picked out in pink, turquoise and gilt, crossed swords in underglaze blue to base, height approx 20cm (minor restoration and faults).

Art Union of London 1852', 51cm John Lawlor (1820-1901) was born in Dublin and began work on the Palace of Westminster before joining the RA schools in 1847. His work was exhibited at the Great Exhibition of 1851. CONDITION REPORT: Stork has a restored beak. The Stork is the large bird seated at Solitudes side. It appears that the base could possibly have an area of restoration.
