An early 20th century Chinese plated hand mirror with 18th/19th century jade mounts, the white jade oval plaque originally from a ruyi sceptre, carved in high relief with two sages and attendant in a rocky landscape with pine tree, the plaque 12.5cm across, the handle mounted with a pale celadon jade ‘dragon’ belt hook, 12.5cm long, total length 25cm***CONDITION REPORT***Natural inclusions and veining to the stone. The white jade plaque of good even tone, the edges cannot be examined where they are mounted at the back of the hand mirror. The Dragon belt hook is pinned at the neck just below the Dragon head terminal but on inspection there doesn’t appear to be any damage or restoration. Both pieces of Jade with some remnants of silver polish within the carving, which will remove with a toothpick.
