After Doug Hyde (b.1972) "Keep Smiling" Edition number 68/195, LED mixed media, 60cm by 60cm Sold together with the DeMontfort Fine Art certificate of authenticity In working order. Minor rubs/scratches to the surface, the most evident being blow "M" of "Smile", and some very minor light marks elsewhere. Small Patch of white residue to inside of the frame about 10 cm from bottom in the left hand corner (see photo)

†COLIN FIFIELD (1940-2022); a c.1960s portfolio containing a large quantity of various artworks, including life drawings, sketches, paintings, collages, mixed media works, prints, etc. Provenance: Colin was a painter & potter, born in Greenwich, South East London. He attended Camberwell School of Art and Crafts, 1958 to 1962, specialising in Painting, Lithography and Illustration. He was awarded the National Diploma in Design in 1962. He continued his studies at the Slade School of Fine Art, University of London (1962 to 1964) where he specialised in painting and etching. He was awarded the Slade Diploma in 1964. His teachers included William Townsend, Frank Auerbach & Euan Uglow. He exhibited widely in London and the South East & Kent, including the prestigious Bankside Gallery and he has work in the Slade Collection.His art has always been very eclectic. His interests ranged from landscape paintings in oils, watercolours and acrylics to pen and ink drawings. His inspiration comes mainly from the landscapes of Kent in South East England especially the coastal areas of Dungeness, Deal, Folkestone and Hastings where he had an artistic obsession for trawler boats, which feature in many of his works.Pottery was always been one of his interests for many years. He used a wheel to make his work, firing to Stoneware, producing domestic and functional pottery. He was a teacher of pottery and ceramics to adult students at Sidcup Adult Education College, Sidcup, Kent. To which he was awarded a diploma in education from Canterbury Christchurch University.Colin worked for years for Greenwich and Tower Hamlets Councils as an architect designing public spaces, producing many concept drawings and designed the logo for Tower Hamlets.Colin died in 2022 of Alzheimers Disease.
