1938 Morgan F-Super 3-Wheeler Make: Morgan Model: F-SuperYear: 1938Mileage: 0VIN: F493Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: Contact AucitoneerTransmission: manualFirst registered in August 1938, by the late 1970s this brightly-finished 1172cc Ford-engined Morgan was reported to be in a poor state. It was completely rebuilt in 1980 and then taken over to Ireland, where it was re-registered in March 1981. The vendor purchased it in 1997, after which it received a full repaint in 2012 and an engine rebuild in 2013. Recent attention has involved new tyres being fitted during 2021. The paperwork includes correspondence with the Morgan Three-Wheeler Club Ltd, which believed (at least in 2009) that this was the very first Morgan to be referred to as an F-Super and was exhibited at shows during 1937 before being sold to a private owner. There are also the Irish registration documents, some photos showing engine work, and a 1985 Morgan Three-Wheeler Club reprint of the owner's handbook. The odometer shows 7350 miles covered. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 2ND DECEMBER BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

1969 Morgan 4/4 1600Make: Morgan Model: 44655Year: 1969Mileage: 2895VIN: SABTVR03504130085Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: RUO856HTransmission: manualRegistered in November 1969, this Morgan 4/4 Tourer (with Ford 1599cc Kent engine) was last on the road in 2019. However, the vendor tells us that it 'runs and drives with no faults' and that 'everything is working as it should'. The car is further described as 'solid'. The V5C shows two former registered keepers, with the odometer reading 02895 miles. The paperwork file also includes an MoT certificate from 2008. An online check of the car's MoT history stretches back to September 2006, when the car's mileage was recorded as 1953, so over the last 15 years, it has covered under 1000 miles. The mileage beyond this is unwarranted however. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 17TH JANUARY BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

1921 Swift 12hp Two-seater with DickeyRegistration no. VSU 913 (to be confirmed)Chassis no. 3173Engine no. M764Odometer reading: TBCMOT: Exempt *Rare survivor of a quality make*An older restoration*Recently re-commissionedCoventry-based bicycle maker Swift turned to motor manufacture at the turn of the 20th Century with a single-cylinder voiturette powered by a De Dion-style MMC engine, progressing to a 10hp twin-cylinder light car, entirely of its own design, in 1904. The twin was replaced by a four-cylinder 10hp model in 1914, a 12hp four being added at the same time. A new '12' was announced in March 1919, joining the pre-war '10'. Concentrating on the manufacture of small family cars while producing virtually all its own parts enabled Swift to beat its mass-producing rivals for quality but not for price, a policy that led, inevitably, to its closure in 1931. According to the Swift Register, only some 200-or-so Swift motor vehicles of all types are known to survive worldwide, mostly in the UK but spread as far as South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. This Swift was sold new via F N Morgan of Newport and probably registered as 'TJ 3457' originally. No further history is known until the 1980s/1990s when the car was restored in England and reregistered as 'VSU 913' (photographs on file). The Swift came to Jersey in 1996 and was actively campaigned in club events on the island. Purchased by the current vendor in November 2019 following a period of inactivity, it was then re-commissioned, being serviced and fitted with new Blockley tyres, new carpets, new battery, etc (bills on file). Reported as running well, this charming Vintage-era Swift and is only sold because the vendor no longer has time to enjoy it. 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Mk1 Sports SaloonRegistration no. HSR 688E (see text)Chassis no. DB6/3131/REngine no. 400/3188Odometer reading: 8,054MOT: Exempt *Automatic transmission*An older restoration*Present ownership since 2008This automatic transmission DB6 was originally finished in Sierra Blue with natural leather interior and left the factory equipped with the following: power steering; chrome road wheels; heated rear screen; two safety belts; power aerial and the 3.54:1 limited-slip differential. From June 1990 to November 1992, it was registered to one Bertie Pearl of Perthshire and carried the registration number '640 BP'. A letter on file from Mr Colin Gilburt (dated 30th October 1992) contains details of a full restoration undertaken by Mr Gilburt's company, Thoroughbred Cars (Edinburgh) Ltd, which included rebuilds of the engine, torque converter and automatic gearbox; chassis and bodywork repairs; re-spray and re-trim; braking system overhaul; and various other works. The cost is stated as in excess of £35,000. The car was purchased by the immediately preceding owner Stephen Morgan on 23rd November 1992 and the registration mark changed to 'HSR 688E'. In September 1998 Five Oaks Garage in Jersey undertook a brake overhaul, while the fuel tank was removed and reconditioned and carburettor repairs carried out. Further servicing and maintenance was entrusted to Brewery Motors of Farndon, near Chester. The current owner purchased the DB6 at Bonhams' Goodwood Revival sale in September 2008 (Lot 368). Accompanying paperwork includes the aforementioned documents; a quantity of expired MoTs; and a V5C Registration Certificate (as the car had been exported, an application to retain the number will be required). This attractive DB6 has been on static display for a number of years and as such will require recommissioning prior to road use. Registration No: F673 TRUChassis No: 8266SMOT: November 202229,640 miles from new and current ownership since 2010Powered by a Rover V8 engine mated to a 5-Speed manual gearboxOffered with a collection of invoices and old MOT's This low-mileage Spyder has covered just c.29,640 miles from new having been in the current ownership since 2010. Powered by a Rover V8 engine mated to a 5-Speed manual gearbox ‘F673TRU’ is finished in dark blue with blue interior, the specification includes electric windows and a stainless-steel exhaust. Offered with a collection of invoices, assorted old MOT's back to 1993, current MoT to November 2022 and a Marcos build manual, the Spyder benefits from an oil and filter change carried out in January this year whilst the vendor currently rates it as having “good” bodywork, engine, transmission and interior with “average” paintwork.Founded by Jem Marsh and Frank Costin in 1959, Marcos was to become synonymous with British sports car building for road and track use during the 1960s before difficulties with the American market and the expense of new premises caused the firm to close in the early 1970s. The Marcos name was resurrected by Jem Marsh in 1981 with the premise of offering the previous GT models as kits. Power options were mainly Ford, Rover and Triumph units ranging from humble four-cylinders to larger V6s and V8s. Making its debut in 1993, the Mantula was similar to the old GT but was powered by Rover’s 3.5-litre V8 coupled to a five-speed transmission. The light alloy engine gave the car an all-up weight of around 900kg making performance on a par with rival models from TVR and Morgan. In 1989 the convertible or Spyder version was introduced which went on to become the most popular variant. A total of 170 coupes and 119 Spyders were built before Marcos retired from the kit car business in 1992 to concentrate on factory offerings.Footnote: For more information, please contact:James McWilliamjames.mcwilliam@handh.co.uk07943 584760

1977 Morgan +8 Sports Lightweight 19/19Chassis no. R8186Odometer reading: 12,387MOT: Exempt*Low mileage Plus 8 Lightweight*Number 19 of 19*4-speed manual gearbox*Owned by John McLaren (brother of Bruce) To view a video of this lot please click hereFootnotes:A beautiful 2-seater open tourer, the Morgan Plus 8 offers subtle, elegant styling but with a hidden gem under the bonnet – the 3.5-litre Rover V8. This partnership between Rover and Morgan was largely a result of Peter Wilkes (director of Rover) attempting to purchase Morgan off of Peter Morgan. He politely declined, however the meeting did result in an agreement for the supply of the then new Rover V8 to be fitted in the new Plus 8. This 1977 Plus 8 is a very special Sports Lightweight model that is presented in a beautiful Opalescent Silver with contrasting Gunmetal grey colour scheme. Originally owned by John McLaren (brother of Bruce McLaren), this example is number 19 of just 19 Lightweights built between 1976 and 1977. The Lightweight Plus 8s are incredibly rare, and they are known for their all-aluminium bodywork handcrafted from the factory. A resident of Guernsey, John McLaren imported the car to the island and it has never left since the day it arrived (this is justified by the low mileage of just 12,387 miles). John was also known to have the radiator cowl plated in chrome, and it is known to have had three owners in total. Overall the car is in good condition, and this is a rare and low mileage example of a Plus 8. Comes with a dust cover and a clock made from it's original steering wheel.Vendor Score Total: 60/100Bidders should note that the automated 100-point Seller's Assessment is provided by each Seller at the point of consignment using the guidelines below, and is not provided, assessed or verified by Bonhams MPH. The much revered Carrera 3.0 transformed into a rally car and successfully rallied in 'Group B' European events.C16/UK RHD example manufactured on 03/02/1976Matching-numbers; Porsche CoA and service/handbooksTransformed into a rally car in 1984 and successfully rallied in Group B European eventsNumerous Works parts utilised, seam welded shell, oil cooler in rear whale tail, adjustable front anti-roll bars, Works torsion bars, quick rack and light podOther parts accompanying car include RSR front Bilstein struts, bag tank, torsion bars (2 x 7x16), Fuchs alloy wheels. The car’s decals and stripes are all painted not transfersThe interesting Carrera 3.0 is rightly regarded as somewhat of a special and rare model amongst the impact-bumper era, 911 model range. It was introduced in September 1975 for the 1976 model year and production only ran until 1977.Following on after the MFI-engined Carrera 2.7, the 3.0 Carrera heralded the adoption of the newly developed Bosch K-Jetronic CIS fuel injection engine. This torque-rich, smooth and free-revving 3.0-litre engine, with a distinctive 'cam' effect from 4,000rpm, produced 200bhp and was effectively a naturally aspirated version of the 930 Turbo's drivetrain (using the same die-cast aluminium crankcase and gearbox housing for durability).Although having slightly less power than the outgoing Carrera 2.7, it had considerably more torque (188 lb/ft at 4200 rpm) and with its new fuel injection system was one of the earliest Porsches to return economical fuel consumption figures without a significant performance loss. The Carrera 3.0 was able to accelerate from 0-60 mph and 0-100 mph in almost identical times to the original 2.7 RS and 2.7 Carrera. This respectable performance was aided further by the relatively light weight (1093 kg) of the 3.0 Carrera compared to its successors. It is almost 6% lighter than the SC (1160kg), almost 10% lighter than the 3.2 (1210kg) and surprisingly, also weighs less than the later (1987-1989) stripped-down Carrera 3.2 Club Sport (1170kg).During its short two-year life span, only 3,687 cars were built - a tiny amount compared to nearly 58,000 911 SCs and 76,500 3.2 Carreras produced. Of these, 2,564 were Coupés and 1,123 were Targas with only around 1,064 Coupés being manufactured in right-hand drive. Very few RHD cars reached the UK, and with just a two year production run, only 121 Carrera 3.0 Coupés (combined "Sport' and "Comfort' versions) are verified by their chassis numbers with the Porsche Club GB.The Carrera 3.0 model was highly rated by Porsche gurus Michael Cotton, Lindsey Porter and Peter Morgan, and was the road car of choice of legendary British Rally champion Roger (Albert) Clark. The car presented here started life as UK-market Carrera 3.0 before being enhanced for rally driving in 1984 by an established driver named Mervyn Coxon; we understand that he may have had a connection at Prodrive and was able to utilise some very special componentry for the car (possibly Works parts including Kevlar-covered rear trailing arms etc.), whilst also seam-welding the bodyshell. He ran the car in 'Group B' European events, including the Rallye International de Wallonie (in Belgium) and Carling Killarney Rally of the Lakes before it was subsequently sold in 1987 to Dr Graham Rood, a well-known engineer, classic aviation and motorsport enthusiast/driver. He is an authority on Sunbeam Tigers and has owned a highly original Sunbeam Tiger Mk1A ex-works rally car, amongst others. We understand he owned this Carrera 3.0 for approximately 25 years. Our vendor, a well-known classic rally car driver, engineer and enthusiast, bought the car in 2013. He set about a thorough upgrade of it, including the fitting of modern, high-quality race seats, harnesses and a fire extinguisher. He fully restored the bodywork to the bare metal before professionally painting it, and adding the iconic 'Rothmans' livery, with the stripes being hand-painted (not stickers). He has used the car in a number of road-based events and for fast-road driving trips, where he describes its handling set-up as 'remarkable', allowing the power to be put down whilst cornering and exit at astonishing speeds, whilst inspiring real confidence, which comes from the sheer quality of engineering and its clever set-up.An attractively guided car with real provenance and abilities tested over many years, this is one for buyers who know their Porsches.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911 3.0 RALLY CARYear: 1976Chassis Number: 9116600465Registration Number: TFA 345Engine Number: 6660574 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveClick here for more details and images

A much loved and well-travelled 4/4 Series 1, on the button and ready to go.In present ownership for 50 yearsRegularly used and maintained as requiredMany adventures throughout the UK and Europe including Le Mans on a regular basisFull restoration some years ago completed by Morgan specialist Martyn StendallSuperb throughout and rarely available on the open marketThe Morgan 4/4 (later known as the 4/4 Series 1) made its debut at the Motor Show in 1936 (until then Morgans had only ever appeared at the Motor Cycle Show) priced very competitively at 185 Guineas. The new car featured an open two-seater body with luggage space behind the seats and two spare wheels mounted at the rear. The four-cylinder Coventry Climax had a capacity of 1122cc with overhead pushrod-operated inlet valves and side exhaust valves and 34bhp was transmitted through a Borg and Beck clutch down a short shaft to a mid-mounted 4-speed gearbox and onwards down a Hardy Spicer prop shaft to a spiral-bevel back axle.Having been with its current custodian for approximately 50 years, BVH 766 has lived a life and then some. Fully restored some twenty five years ago by Martyn Stendall this is a superb Jaguar Brooklands British Racing Green with black interior 'Flat Rad' Series 1 that has been cared for throughout its life. Every component received attention, from engine to back axle with that final component being uprated by Brian Gateson at Techniques Morgan. Many journeys into Europe and all over the UK have given this Series 1 Morgan a gentle patina, not that of a Concours trophy contender, but one of a much loved, well travelled and cherished companion. On the button and ready to go wherever that next adventure may be, but would quite like to stay with its sibling, VV 7819, which is also on offer here today.SpecificationMake: MORGANModel: 4/4 SERIES 1 1122CC CLIMAXYear: 1939Chassis Number: 827Registration Number: BVH 766Transmission: ManualEngine Number: MA651Drive Side: Right-hand DriveMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black leatherClick here for more details and images

Delightful,1098-Climax-engined, pre-war, Flat Rad 4/4 restored to an exceptional standard.A fabulous, Series 1 'Flat Rad' from 25-years ownershipExemplary restoration by true Morgan fanatics and craftsmenChassis-up rebuild with outstanding attention to detailFitted with a 1098cc Climax from the Le Mans ReplicaFinished in Ford Deep Navy with black trimMinimal use since completion. Simply exquisiteThe Morgan 4/4 (later known as the 4/4 Series 1 ) made its debut at the Motor Show in 1936 (until then Morgans had only ever appeared at the Motor Cycle Show) priced very competitively at 185 Guineas. The new car featured an open two-seater body with luggage space behind the seats and two spare wheels mounted at the rear. The four-cylinder Coventry Climax had a capacity of 1122cc with overhead pushrod-operated inlet valves and side exhaust valves and 34bhp was transmitted through a Borg and Beck clutch down a short shaft to a mid-mounted 4-speed gearbox and onwards down a Hardy Spicer prop shaft to a spiral-bevel back axle.Having been with its current custodian for approximately 25 years, VV 7819 has to be one of the finest Series 1 Morgans available today. Our vendor and Morgan fanatic owned another Series 1, purchased in 1970, which was used extensively for touring and after 25 years of enjoyment the ravages of time called for a refurbishment, so with that in mind a donor car was sourced, that being the car on offer today. Upon further investigation, it was found that the two cars were just two chassis numbers apart – Chassis nos #825 and #827, so how could he break one of the two factory siblings, having just found each other after all these years?  With room in the stable for two, a decision was taken and a long term project commenced resulting in the first car, the green Series 1, being rebuilt followed by its stablemate, the stunning blue car that we have the pleasure to offer today. VV 7819 was rebuilt by Morgan fanatics and craftsmen to the very highest of standards with every component scrutinised from the bare chassis up. Every mechanical aspect of the car received attention including the Coventry Climax 1098 cc engine, the four-speed Moss gearbox  rebuilt by George Proudfoot, rear axle, suspension springs and steering. The interior was restored and retrimmed and a full tonneau cover fitted, a full hood and side screens being deemed unnecessary at this point. All the chromework was replaced or re-plated and the original Morgan panels were treated to several coats of gleaming Ford Deep Blue. Interestingly, the car is powered by a 1098cc Climax, an engine earmarked for the 4/4 'Le Mans Replica' announced in February 1939. Although 24cc less than the standard engine, the cylinder head, valves and other parts were all carefully polished and the crankshaft fully balanced, resulting in the smaller engine being the more powerful. With sales of the Le Mans being less than hoped for ( the Second World War started a few months after the first cars were available), perhaps the 1098cc engines were used in standard cars. Clearly this has been very much a labour of love, so much so, that we have the pleasure of offering both cars in the hope that they may continue to remain together. A rare opportunity unlikely to be repeated.SpecificationMake: MORGANModel: SERIES 1 4/4Year: 1939Chassis Number: 825Registration Number: VV 7819Transmission: ManualEngine Number: 623Drive Side: Right-hand DriveMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black leatherClick here for more details and images

~ 1937 Morgan Super Sport 3-Wheeler Registration number: DVV 5 Date of first registration: 12 02 1937 VIN number: D1732 Engine number: MX2666 MOT expires: N/A V5C present lisiting 3 former keepers Current mileage shown: 82422 990cc Green HPI checked. A rare opportunity to acquire a correct and well maintained, pre-war sports car. Morgan started its journey in a small Malvern garage in 1909; the Morgan Motor Company was formed by Henry Fredrick Stanley Morgan (HFS) and it all started with three wheels. In 1908, Henry Morgan designed and built a car for his own use. The three-wheeler used his own design independent front suspension and was powered by a 7 bhp Peugeot twin cylinder engine left over from an abandoned motorcycle project. Morgan won the Cyclecar Grand Prix at Amiens in France with an average speed of 42 mph for the 163 mile distance. This established the company name and reputation in the world of competition and the car became the basis for the Grand Prix model from 1913 to 1926. This evolved into the model we have here today, the Aero. This stunning right-hand drive 1937 Morgan Super Sport 3 Wheeler has been in a private collection and in long term ownership. She is presented in traditional racing green with a black interior. It comes equipped with a 3-speed manual transmission, 900cc Mathles's V-Twin engine, dual side exhaust, soft top, Tonneau cover, and wire wheels. Paintwork and interior are in excellent order, as are the wheels and tyres. The condition can only be described as wonderful, sporting all its correct dials, lights and switches, a very original machine indeed. Eligible for popular VSCC events and light car racing, this is a very rare and highly collectible Morgan which would make a great addition to any classic car collection.
