Its creamware counterpart with surface wear and its base slightly crazed.

A Copeland Christmas mug and tea plate, 1867, printed with festive tableaux and sentiment and picked-out in colour, gilt borders, the plate 17.6cm diam, printed cypher mark and registration lozenge, painted pattern no D5208, another pair, 1866, decorated with figures only, gilt line borders, conforming printed marks, painted pattern no D4803, (4) Provenance: Richard Dennis OBE, publisher of Gifts for Good Children: The History of Children's China, Parts I & II: 1790-1890, & 1890-1990 (Ilminster, 1991 & 2006) Each piece with varying degrees of wear to decoration. The first mug and plate each with a stable hairline, in the plate's case with a minor nibbled loss.
A Chelsea-Derby style baluster mug, 19th c, painted in polychrome with flowers, cobalt blue and gilt borders, scroll handle, dentil rim, 9.5cm h, pseudo gilt entwined anchor and D mark, incised numbering, a similar pedestal ewer 16cm h, and a cup and saucer, the saucer 12.5cm diam, (4) Good condition; each piece with varying degrees of stacking and surface wear. The gilding on the cup and saucer particularly rubbed. All pieces marked, though pseudo wares.

The first mug with a hairline crack to the front. Christian maxim mug damaged with loss. The mug with zig-zags restored, yet only visible internally.

Cat alphabet plate with flat rim chip to verso, portion of surrounding area with highly competent restoration, displaying well. Q plate with hairline.
