Two grand tour bronze models,19th century, French, each of the Luxor Obelisk, on a fenced black granite base,largest 11.5cm wide32.5cm high (2)Condition ReportThe larger with a 4cm loss to one corner of the granite base, some smaller chips to edges. Very slight wobble where the obelisk joins the base. Smaller with 3cm loss to one corner of the base. Both with very minor traces of wear to the bronze elements and in good cosmetic condition.Measurements of the smaller - 9cm wide x 20cm high.

The stepped base likely later, and the obelisk may have been cut down. Some craquelure to the surface. Overall in stable structural condition.
A pair of Ashford black marble obelisks,each tapering column and plinth, inlaid with daffodils and jasmine amongst foliage, on a stepped rectangular base,8cm wide7.5cm deep 25cm high (2)Provenance: The personal collection of David and Elizabeth Hacker.Condition ReportOne example with a large chip to the obelisk point, and minor chips to the stepped base and plinth. The inlay with some scratches and marks, an area of the upper section of the inlay appears to be cracked. The other example with a very minor chip to the point, and minor chips to the base. The inlay again with some slight scratches, and the point of one flower appears to be cracked. Overall, the two feel sturdy with no movement to the joints.
