FOXES OF HARROW THE: Vintage signed 7.5 x 9 photograph by both Rex Harrison (Stephen Fox) and Maureen O'Hara (Odalie 'Lilli' D'Arceneaux) individually, the image depicting the couple in half-length profile poses, in costume, engaged in an embrace as they look into each other's eyes, from the adventure film The Foxes of Harrow (1947). Signed by both Harrison and O'Hara in blue fountain pen inks with their names alone to light areas of the image. Together with Maureen O'Sullivan (1911-1998) Irish actress, remembered for her performances as Jane Parker opposite Johnny Weissmuller in six Tarzan films (1932-42). Signed 8 x 10 photograph of O'Sullivan seated in a three-quarter length pose, in costume as Judy Standish, with actor Allan Jones lying at her side, in costume Gil Stewart, from the comedy film A Day at the Races (1937) in which they starred alongside the Marx Brothers. ACTORS: Small selection of signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photographs by various film actors comprising George Peppard (depicting him in a head and shoulders pose in costume as John Shay from the British cold war neo noir spy thriller film The Executioner, 1970), Stewart Granger (depicting him in a half-length profile pose, in costume as Andre Moreau, opposite actress Eleanor Parker, in costume as Lenore, in a scene from the romantic swashbuckler film Scaramouche, 1952) and Peter Strauss (standing in a full-length pose, in costume as Honus Gant, alongside Candice Bergen, in costume as Kathy Maribel 'Cresta' Lee, in a scene from the American Revisionist Western film Soldier Blue, 1970). All are signed in fountain pen inks to largely clear areas of the images. VG, 3 Provenance: The present photographs originate from the collection of Pierre Goulliard, a French gentleman who, for over 50 years, dedicated himself to obtaining in person autographs of British, American and European movie stars, always obtaining the signatures in fountain pen ink.
