An incredibly rare original WWII Second World War Lancaster Bomb-Aimer's Bomb compartment switch panel component. Service used, the component features various official Air Minstry markings, and would've likely been used in a standard bomb aimer panel in an Avro Lancaster . Signed in gold marker pen by Dambuster George Johnny Johnson and 617 Squadron Veteran John Bell. Supplied upon a specially commissioned presentation wooden base which has also been autographed by George Johnny Johnson. Rare.  NOTE: Proceeds from this lot are being donated towards the ' Attack On The Sorpe Dam ' film project. The film tells the story of the famous Dambusters raid of WWII, and features testimony from George 'Johnny' Johnson himself. A preview of the footage completed so far, as well as an appearance by George 'Johnny' Johnson, is taking place on February 9th at The Watershed Cinema in Bristol. A collection of approximately twenty-five architectural drawings and plans, some dated 1947, a series of pen, ink, pencil and watercolour architectural prospects, elevations and ground plans for a fictional National Opera House, gardens and glass houses and a country house compiled for her thesis, mostly on paper (a few on architect's tracing paper), various sizes and condition Elaine Denby was an architect and author. Born in 1924 in West Yorkshire, Denby studied at the Leeds School of Architecture. In the late 1940s, she worked in the housing department at Westminster City Council and then in 1957 she established her own practice in London. (approximately 25)

He assisted in founding the Percy Society and Camden Society. (1)

A group of three Edwardian sketchbooks by Frances Dorothy Beresford Maule Griffiths (nee Kerr), circa 1902-1905, each containing between 38-55 leaves, numerous drawings and sketches, both full-page and smaller, many unfinished, mainly pencil, some pen and ink, approximately 40 heightened with wash, a few with watercolour, captions include: 'Father'; Mrs Curtoys, wife of Capt. Curtoys RM'; 'going to court (Edward VII) Mrs Curtoys'; 'Dutch Girl'; Some Revolting daughters'; 'What splendid photos I can take now, she said'; 'I'm busy making up accounts, so go away'; 'Listen to me you chaps'; 'Messenger boy'; 'Countess of Warwick and Hon. Maynard Greville'; 'Grace singing'; 'Captain Miles Standish'; 'Hyde Park Corner'; 'In Hyde Park'; 'How pretty Sally was tonight in her shining satin dress', first volume with single leaf manuscript letter loosely inserted, neat cut along border of one sketch, one leaf detached, front hinge cracked, front pastedown with adhered label 'With my love, Frances Dorothy Beresford Maule Griffiths', second volume with some soiling and light dampstaining, first page marked, one sketch with surface loss, one with torn area , front pastedown with ink inscription 'Dorothy B.M. Kerr. Dec. 12. 04', stitching strained, textblock detached from binding, third volume with a small image neatly excised (affecting sketch on recto), one leaf detached and edge-frayed, front pastedown with ink inscription 'Dorothy Maule Kerr. April 23rd 1903', stitching somewhat strained, rear hinge splitting, each volume in contemporary cloth-backed boards, worn, second volume with spine cloth detaching, 4to Frances Dorothy Beresford Maule Kerr married William Arthur Griffiths. They were living in Alverstoke, Hampshire, when one of their sons, Patrick Maule Griffiths, died aged 27 in 1940 while serving in the Royal Navy (apparently whilst boarding the French submarine Surcouf).
