Lord Byron Commander published John Murray 1826 first edition with chart & plates (supplied in facsimile) bound in embossed cloth with gilt lettered leather label [Pencil note on endpaper explains that the book was acquired from a book-breaker and that the new owner revived the book by obtaining copies of the original plates]
[Beatrix Potter Interest] A Man Made of Money by Douglas Jerrold with 12 illustrations on steel by John Leech published Punch Office 1849 first edition bound in 19th century half leather. This copy bears the nameplate of Thomas Taylor, Sawrey with pencil note on endpaper 'Beatrix Potter’s copy probably purchased locally, which I bought from Capt. Duke Castle Cottage Sawrey, who assured me that the title page (Plate1) was coloured by B.P. (Beatrix Potter)' a faint pencil note beneath reads 'from the stock of Herman Wilkinson in Cumbria' with his annotation above 'Wilkinson made many purchases of Potter items from Capt. Duke c.1966' [similar family books sold at Christies 1997 New York]

A single sheet inscribed 'S.S. Britannic Autographs' 1st-5th 1936 inscribed 'Best wishes to Mr Devine', also inscribed 'To Don Valente (Britannic), All the best and look after the weigh-in, the 'Big' George Dobson' and signed across the text by Noel Coward with pencil inscription verso.Provenance: Purchased Tim Davidson Auctioneers, lot 205 06/03/12. CONDITION REPORT Small crease upper left torn from an autograph book, some light staining and chips to the edges.

Whilst we have no reason to doubt we cannot authenticate any of the signatures.Sadly there is a small hole centre which is spurning a tear of two lines approx 2cm, two further small tears to the lower portion and some creases to the edges.
