Each pipe with a wooden bowl and 'twist-to-extend' action, each approx. 5cm long overall (2 inches); a golf tee, marked 'Sterling Silver', 6.25cm long overall (2 1/2 inches); the chrome or stainless steel flat-head screw with a screw action, 5 to 7.5cm; and a needle or lead box formed from a brass bullet with a 'Sterling Silver' lead terminal, 8cm long overall (3 1/8th inches) Condition Report: The screw mechanisms functions on all the pencils, the sterling silver golf tee is also a propelling pencil.

Comprising; a silver example with a fluted barrel and floral terminals, the end set with a round carnelian engraved with an initial, hallmarks for London probably 1840, approx. 9.5cm long; another with 'dot and reed' decoration, a vacant oval reserve and a push/plunge action, hallmarks for London 1910, 7.5cm to 12cm overall; an engine turned cylindrical example with two slide-slots one end and missing an implement from the other (a knife blade(?)) hallmarks for London 1888, 9cm to 11.25cm; a stylised-blockwork cylindrical example with a slide and reserve engraved 'P.J. Newman'; another similar with engine turned decoration and a vacant reserve, with a slide and a round black onyx panel terminal; and a cream composition barrel shaped example with a single pencil, 8cm to 10.5cm
