A circa.1800 Dutch maritime oil on canvas. Depicting ships moored in an estuary, 26.8cm x 41cm, framed Condition Report: not rippednot patched or relined so original canvasnew frame and picture has been cleaned , rather sympathetically ( left some dirt in ) atlhough I suggest this was done some time ago as now the paint is very slightly lifting in areas not badly as early enough. probably needs stabilizing .The biggest fault is to the lower middle of the picture which has some time ago had a section of paint missing and a restorer has not filled the loss but added various colours to try and blend in.I suggest this could be a historically interesting picture

INDIAN SCHOOL Mughal prince seated before a palace, with attendants Gouache on paper 66cm x 59cm After considerable interest in this lot, we have decided to remove the picture from the modern frame. The picture was secured to the backing by sellotape. Thankfully, only three pieces remained attached to the back of the painting. Two lower right, one upper left. I cut through using a scalpel, but in these three instances the sellotape is still fairly firmly attached and I have not attempted to remove it.There are no inscriptions on the back, and no insect damage, but signs of age throughout – please see attached images. There is one piece of sellotape that looks to have stuck to part of the border, shown in pictures.I re-assembled the frame (without the backing which still has sellotape) and took further images through the glass, including a section that has a later attached label, areas of damage, and spotting in the sky.I then managed to take the glass off without actually touching the picture itself and was able to take pictures without the glass.
