Midnight Purple, V-Spec, 26 years ownership and just 12,500 miles from new is a hard combination to beat! The R33 is now rightfully seeing the appreciation it deserves and what an undeniably incredible example this one is following its major service. The R33 was surrounded by huge hype following the popularity and cult status of the R32 and was unveiled at the 30th Tokyo Motor Show in August 1993, with the public having to wait until January 1995 for the GT-R to hit dealerships. This stunning 1995 R33 GT-R V-Spec is a remarkable example that's been preserved amazingly well and is one of 805 Series 1 V-Spec cars finished in the synonymous Skyline colour of LP2 Midnight Purple. It has covered just 12,500 miles from new, untouched by modifications even down to the seldom-seen original twin-pipe exhaust, with the car retaining all the original Japanese safety stickers and decals, preserved in remarkable condition. As a 1995 car, it spent its first three and a half years in Japan before being imported to the UK by the Toy Store Motor Company in 1999, who converted the speedometer to MPH, when our vendor purchased and registered the car in their name meaning it benefits from single UK-ownership. The reupholstered interior colour change was undertaken during its time in Japan and complements the car nicely. Changing from cloth to leather, the original seats, door cards and handbrake/shift boot were re-trimmed, so to put back to standard would be a remarkably easy task. The interior features lots of its original components such as the correct GT-R chequered flag mats. The car has been in long term, temperature-controlled storage and, as is frequently the case, the original book packs and Japanese history have been misplaced, so its history is limited to its UK V5C and invoicing for recent recommissioning work. The refresh has been undertaken by marque experts, Green End Garage, and included the timing belt, spark plugs and all fluids to give full confidence to a future custodian. Little used over here, it has covered just 30 miles between 2006-2024, and will come to auction with a fresh MOT offering peace of mind. The car appears absolutely on the button both mechanically and cosmetically. It's worth noting that there appears to be an erroneous input on the GT-R Registry where it states the car is white, however, as shown by the chassis number and chassis plate, it has always been LP2 Midnight Purple. The exterior, in totally original condition with gleaming paintwork, features the impossible-to-source 'V-Spec' decals and GT-R badges, factory-stamped forged 17" alloy wheels, Xenon headlights and adjustable rear spoiler. Accompanied by its original GT-R keys, this low mileage R33 GT-R V-Spec is just sensational to drive. Having spent so much time in a temperature controlled storage facility, under the ownership of its single enthusiast UK custodian, this car has been preserved exceptionally well, a testament to the previous owner and an asset to the next. Road &Track Magazine summarised the R33 GT-R very well in July, 2019 stating 'It isn't just better than you'd expect, it might well be the high-point of GT-R heritage'.The R33 GT-R has been criminally underrated for a long time, sometimes subdued by the racing pedigree and successes of the R32 GT-R, and the cult-like following and Hollywood stardom of the R34 GT-R but thankfully, the Japanese performance car market has woken up and there is an opportunity to be part of it with this original, well-cared for, low ownership and incredibly low-mileage R33. We welcome any inspection of this example; it will not disappoint.Specification Make: NISSAN Model: SKYLINE R33 GT-R Year: 1995 Chassis Number: BCNR33006649 Registration Number: N210 SGY Transmission: Manual Engine Number: RB26 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 12535 KM Make: RHD Interior Colour: Purple/White LeatherClick here for more details and images
