Registration No: LVC 359V Chassis No: TCN150135UCF MOT: ExemptCurrent ownership since 1995Understood to have been a test vehicle for Pirelli tyresRare Triumph TR8 Coupe converted to RHD in 1983Extensive restoration works completed by S+S Preperations in 1989Supplied with BMIHT Certificate and fitted with replacement 3.9 litre engine which is upratedTR8 Coupes, based upon the original Harris Mann TR7 design, made from 1978 to 1980 are quite rare; it is estimated that only about 400 (from records kept by members of the North America-based Triumph Wedge Owners Association) genuine TR8 Coupes ever existed let alone survive today or are here in the UK, as many went stateside. Add to the roughly 150 pre-production Coupes mentioned above, another 250 or so Coupes were produced, some sold in Canada as 1979 models but most ended up being held back and then finally sold in the US as 1980 models. In 1979, a long-anticipated Michelotti-refreshed TR7 Drophead (convertible) was introduced, and almost all subsequent production TR8s were convertibles. Worldwide production, as best as can be determined, throughout all the labour turmoil at the time, is only around 2750, give or take "a handful". (Enthusiast Richard Connew went through the records at British Motor Heritage Industry Trust and counted 2746.). The TR8 was due to be launched in the UK and a pilot production run was made consisting of four prototypes and 18 pre-production cars. At this point, British Leyland unexpectedly cancelled the project. The pre-production cars were subsequently sold via the dealer network to the public and are highly collectable. Both the TR7 and TR8 were built until October 1981 when production ceased. Very few genuine TR8s exist outside the United States and Canada. One of just 400 TR8 Coupes built by Triumph on 3rd April 1979 to North American specification (left-hand drive). Never shipped to the USA, it was registered as a test vehicle on 23rd April 1980 (the registration containing ‘VC’ synonymous with other BL factory development cars). Subsequently sold to Pirelli on 28th April 1980, it was used for tyre testing in Italy. Following its working life, the TR8 was sent to Paul Haywood Motors for a right-hand drive conversion with ‘LVC’ being sold on 20th October 1983 to a Mr S J Lloyd of Baldock, Hertfordshire, before being sold to a David Smallridge of Milton Keynes, on 12th June 1988.Mr Smallbridge organised a full body restoration, with the colour change from Blue to Red. ‘LVC’ was also fitted with a 3.9 litre engine, big valve heads, Piper cam, lifters and Holley carburetor, LSD plus brake and suspension parts etc. With work carried out by S & S Preparations in Lancashire (receipts on file), the intention was to use ‘LVC’ in club race meetings. Purchased by the present owner on 25th August 1995, it has since been garaged and used for attending car events, but not used in motorsport competition. Supplied with a BMIHT Certificate, workshop manual, collection of invoices plus a receipt for £8587.35 by S+S Preparations and a current V5C. Registration - P873 STMChassis No. - WF0BXXBAJBVM01420M.O.T. - TBCOdometer - 9,838With just under 10,000 miles on the clock – a figure which appears to be supported by service and MOT records - it’s no surprise that the vendor states that the car ‘really belongs in a Ford collection’ and that it remains in ‘as-new’ condition. Supplied new by Hancock Ford, Hertfordshire, this ‘timewarp’ machine still sports the original Pirelli P 2000 tyres and dealer stickers it wore when it rolled out of the Hancock showroom and is offered complete with the original book pack and service book displaying 16 stamps, plus spare key with original red master key, key number tags and radio code. ‘P873 STM’ has had just two previous keepers, its first owner acting as guardian for almost 21 years. The three-door hatchback is smartly presented in white paintwork with blue-grey cloth trim, both of which the current owner describes as being in ‘excellent’ condition; they also rate the bodywork, electrics, five-speed manual transmission and 1.3-litre engine as being similarly impressive. These charismatic little modern classics are becoming increasingly collectable, and one in such untouched condition, with such low mileage - it has covered just some 300 miles in the past decade - and offered at No Reserve is a rarity indeed. Now in its seventh generation, Ford’s incredibly successful Fiesta was discontinued last year, much to the disappointment of its generations of fans. No less than 22 million have been sold during the model’s astonishing 47-year reign, 4.8 million of which found homes in the UK, where it was the top selling model for 12 consecutive years (2009-2020) and the country’s best-selling car of all time. From frugal family car to winner of international rallies, Ford’s famous baby has ticked countless boxes in its reign and left a very large automotive hole when it went.In summary:A totally original, unmolested three-owner exampleLess than 10,000 miles from newBeing sold at No Reserve – a dream opportunity for a Ford collector
Registration - CU06 JVXChassis No. - SCBCE63W06C038839M.O.T. - NoOdometer - 75,000 2006 Bentley Continental GT ‘CU06 JVX’ is being offered for sale after being in the care of its late owner since 2018. Presented in white wrap with beige leather interior, it has been rated by the vendor’s estate’s representative as ‘good’ with regards to 6-litre twelve-cylinder engine, automatic transmission, interior and electrics, and ‘average’ for bodywork and paintwork. An HPI check reveals that this car was original painted green, though does not confirm a date of colour change. MOT records appear to support the indicated 75,000 mileage. Launched at the 2003 Geneva Salon, the Continental GT differed from the previous Continental R and T models in being mass produced rather coach-built, which allowed far greater numbers to be manufactured at a more attractive price – the cost at launch was literally less than half that of Continental R, thereby dramatically widening the potential customer base. The four-wheel drive coupe in optimal Speed form was powered by a twin-turbocharged W12 engine of 6.0-litres, the output of which was a mighty 600bhp – sufficient for a 0-60mph acceleration time of some 4.3 seconds and top speed in excess of 200mph! Other elements that differentiated the Speed model from its standard siblings included lower suspension and wider-rimmed alloy wheels shod with Pirelli P Zero tyres. This 992-era Porsche 911 GT3 is a lauded track-focused performance car, equipped with the desirable Clubsport package and specified in the rare and vibrant ‘Paint to Sample’ shade of Rubystone. Offered for sale with a modest 6,100 miles on the odometer, it would make a superb addition to a wider assembly of performance heroes, or a collection of Porsches, as well as a potent, engaging, and rewarding daily driver or track day toy for its next enthusiast owner. This 992-era Porsche 911 GT3 is a nearly new example of the desirable contemporary performance car, specified in the vibrant ‘Paint to Sample’ shade of Rubystone. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six, delivering 503bhp and 347lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. This example is equipped with the desirable Clubsport package, and is offered for sale by its second owner, who acquired the car in December 2023. The odometer shows a modest 6,100 miles from new. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURESThis 911 GT3 is finished in the distinctive ‘Paint to Sample’ shade of Rubystone over an extended black leather and Race-Tex-trimmed cabin, offset by brushed black-finish and gloss black trim inlays, as well as silver grey stitching and seatbelts. Sitting on a set of silver-painted 20-inch front and 21-inch rear centre-lock alloy wheels, framing black brake callipers, and fitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres. The vehicle’s exterior is covered with paint protection film (PPF) and accompanying the sale is the owner’s book pack, and service booklet. Still under Porsche warrenty until 2025 and just one former keeper this is a spectacular example of the very desirable 992 GT3. Consigned by Mathew Priddy
The Spider designation for the open top sports cars originates from the word, speeder, and a two-person open horse carriage. The Alfa Romeo 105/115 Series Spider was produced from 1966 to 1993, remaining in production for almost three decades with only minor aesthetic and mechanical changes. Widely regarded as a design classic, this fourth series version of production came with further mechanical and cosmetic changes. Mechanical changes saw the introduction of the Bosch Motronic electronic fuel injection with an electric fan and cosmetically, losing its front under bumper spoiler and the rear boot spoiler picking up 164-style rear lights stretching across the width of the car together with colour coordinated plastic bumpers. This achingly pretty Alfa Romeo Spider Series 4 is finished in Rosso with tan interior and comes with a black hood and hard top. Purchased new from Alfredo’s Foreign Cars of New York whist working in the States, the couple who bought it loved their little Alfa so much that they imported it back to the UK with them upon their return in 1993. Now only selling the car due to it getting used less and less frequently, it has been very well cared for with an enviable service history and having largely been dry stored in a private car park. A speedo change was required at 18,963 miles and whilst now only showing 7,445 miles, has actually covered a still very low 26,408 miles. Finding any classic with just one owner, let alone with a complete service history tracing the car’s entire life, even including its original certificate of sale is a rare thing to come by. Reported to run and drive extremely well having only ever been used during the summer months, the car benefitted from four new Pirelli tyres in 2022, brake discs and pads in 2020 and new front calipers in 2018, as well as being regularly serviced. Supplied with a V5C registration document, hard top and comprehensive service history file. A great Italian classic with unparalleled low ownership and service history, presenting a rare opportunity. Consigned by Will Penrose. EXCELLENT SERVICE HISTORYOWNED BY ONE COUPLE SINCE NEWSUPPLIED WITH A HARD TOP
Whilst it is certainly true that there are a number of similarities that follow through from the previous model, the Stuttgart firm have always been very keen to point out that at least 85% of the car, in fact, differed. From the obvious change to the bumpers through to the increased displacement of car’s motive power. ABS brakes now became standard and careful attention has been paid to the aerodynamics used to reduce the drag coefficient down to virtually zero. The stability and road holding at high speed were also greatly improved with a new retractable spoiler automatically extending at 50mph seriously increasing downforce and doubling the volume of air fed into the engine compartment.Registered new on 21st May 1990 this example is the desirable right hand drive, manual, convertible derivative. The Porsche has been treated and cared for throughout its life and has recently had extensive works to the convertible roof including a new gearbox and sensors, motor repairs and a refurbished control unit as well as a comprehensive service approximately 950 miles ago with GT One Ltd, Porsche specialists based in Surrey, a year before that. In fact, works have taken place reliably with this firm stretching back to 2016 which includes regular servicing, air conditioning and general maintenance. The lack of usage undertaken between 2019 and 2023 relates to the Covid epidemic during which time, the owner stayed in Ireland. After which, it was thus refreshed and used again. Two fresh Pirelli P Zero tyres were fitted in 2017 but with only circa 2,600 miles driven between then and now, their use can only really be described as occasional. Works continue going back with GT One and then back to Porsche main dealers including substantial servicing in 2014. In fact, 2014 represents an important date as it was then that the Porsche Service Centre in Byfleet undertook a full and comprehensive engine rebuild costing just shy of £20,000 and detailing nine pages of labour and spare parts. Work also included a new clutch kit, two suspension wishbones and new front brake discs and pads were also fitted at this time. In 2023 it was treated to an extensive 6,000 mile service costing over £4,000 including rectification of some general minor issues. Presented in classic Guards Red with Linen leather interior, including desirable options such as 17" Cup alloys and Sports front seats, it also comes complete with a current MoT test certificate with no advisories, valid until June 2025, and an indoor Porsche cover. This is a very well presented example ready to be enjoyed by its new custodian. The Scaglietti 2+2 Coupé was penned by Frank Stephenson under Ken Okuyama at Pininfarina, and it is said that design, especially the strident side scallops and headlights, were a nod to the coachbuilt 1954 375 MM that film director, Roberto Rossellini, had commissioned for his wife Ingrid Bergan. The newcomer replaced the outgoing 456 but, being physically larger, was a genuine four-seat Grand Tourer. It was Ferrari's second all-aluminium vehicle and comprised of a spaceframe manufactured in conjunction with Alcoa, that was a combination of extrusions and castings to which the body was then welded. The same chassis formed the basis of Ferrari's 599 GTB flagship Grand Tourer. The front, mid-mounted, V12 powerplant was shared with the 575 Superamerica and was not six litres as the name suggests but 5.7, though big enough for a healthy power output of 533bhp and equally impressive performance figures, including a 0-62mph time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed north of the magic 200mph. A total of just 3,025 examples were manufactured between 2004 and 2011, all but 199 of which featured the F1A gearbox. This Scaglietti is finished in Nero Daytona metallic with Scuderia wing shields, over a Nero leather-trimmed cabin complete with contrast stitching and Cavallino Rampante-embossed headrests rides on a set of optional 20-inch ‘Challenge’ alloy wheels, housing yellow callipers and wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres. The specification also includes a Giallo rev-counter, rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable and heated front seats with three-position memory, a Bose sound system, switchable sport mode, and a Becker Traffic Pro stereo with satellite navigation and voice control. A well-maintained and cared for example the cam belt and tensioners were replaced as part of a major service completed in March 2021 by Ferrari specialist GTO Engineering, a further full service was also completed last year including all fluids changed, plus a new alternator and battery. This 612 Scaglietti benefited in 2023 from a recent cosmetic overhaul the paint is now reported to present immaculately. Included in the sale is the original owner’s book pack, service history, and toolkit. This is an elegant example of Ferrari’s grand tourer, powered by a thunderous V12 and boasting timelessly appealing styling this handsome Scaglietti would make a great addition to any collection, and needs nothing to be put into use as a thrilling B-road companion or comfortable and effortlessly sophisticated long-distance cruiser. Porsche began experimenting with turbocharging technology on their racing cars during the late 1960s and, in 1972, began development on a turbocharged version of the 911. They originally needed to produce the car in order to comply with homologation regulations and had intended on marketing it as a street legal racer like the 1973 Carrera 2.7 RS. Ernst Fuhrmann adapted the turbo technology, originally developed for the 917/30 CAN-AM car, to the 3.0 litre flat six from the Carrera RS 3.0, creating what Porsche internally dubbed as a '930'. The Turbo’s characteristic flared wheel arches and ‘tea-tray’ rear spoiler had already been seen on the Carrera model, while the interior was the most luxurious ever seen in a 911, featuring leather upholstery, air conditioning and electric windows. In 1978, the Turbo’s engine was enlarged to 3.3 litres, gaining an intercooler in the process; power increased to 300bhp and the top speed, of what was the fastest accelerating road car of its day, went up to 160mph. More refined than hitherto, yet retaining its high performance edge, the Porsche 930 Turbo sold in the thousands, arguably becoming the definitive sports car of its era. This absolutely superb right hand drive example is presented in black coachwork over a black leather interior and includes the rare and expensive factory option of Fuhrmann seats! Showing a mere 51,101 miles on the odometer, this Porsche is presented in excellent condition having recently been treated to over £25,000 of work over the last two and half years. Works include an extensive body respray, a full brake overhaul including new brake discs and pads, new Bilstein shock absorbers all round, and four new Pirelli tyres. The heater was also refurbished including cables, clamps, guide tubes, and all hardware. A new fuel system including a new tank, fuel lines, and fuel pumps were also fitted. A new Blaupunkt Bremen radio and new front speakers were fitted, along with the wheels being completely refurbished to the factory anodised finish you see today. A major service was completed at this time and the vendor reports that the 911 is in excellent running and driving condition, the engine sounds fantastic and the four-speed gearbox works well. The history file that accompanies the car includes all relevant service books, manuals and its original toolkit, which is rare with models of this era. Many sundry bills are also included along with invoices relating to the recent major works, its Porsche certificate of authenticity, and the UK registration document. This These Turbo models offer exhilarating performance from their 3.3 litre engines, outperforming many modern sports cars today. They are highly sought after and are certainly on the bucket list for many collectors.
