Uniform "Scottish Archers, or Queens Bodyguards for Scotland," a very complete uniform consisting of green court tailed tunic jacket, with elaborate collar and cuffs decorated in gold and silver thread, of thistles etc., and with original engraved gilt small and large buttons and with original epaulettes, the matching trousers with gold stripe,and with a bicorn with gilt button and feathers; together with red tartan kilt, and green tartan sash, and green velvet Balmoral hat with plated badge "Bydand," a black Glengarry bonnet, and two sporran's with silver plated mounts, the entire contained in military tin trunk, with brass plaque, engraved with name of owner "Col. He originated from west Bromwich, W Mids, also with this group is a boxed group of WWII medals un-named as issued, 1939-45, Italy Stars Defence and War medal in box of issue to a J Bayliss, West Bromwich address, together with a small brass toby style jug 'Churchill' and an old copy of a guide to the Tower of London
AN ALMOST COMPLETE ARCHIVE OF MEDALS AND EPHEMERA, relating to a casualty in WWI, British War and Victory medals named to 19852 Pte. Oscar William Challoner. 6th Btn KSLI (Kings Shropshire Light Infantry) KIA/DOW, 18.09.1916, near Guillemont, Battle of the Somme, medals are mint, also present is the Memorial Death Plaque in his name together with Buckingham Palace condolence slip, this group also contains an original copy of the CWGC Grove Town Cemetery Book which is usually to be seen in the metal vaults at each Cemetery, Casualty Branch form 104, Imperial War Graves letter, original boxes of issue, postage packet and medal issue document, British Empires Roll of Honour Card for Challoner, and five black and white photos, two of the recipient, in uniform, one on horseback, also card wrapper for plaque, Challoner was killed on September 18th 1916 during the Battle of the Somme, aged twenty years and is buried at the Grove Town Cemetry

A LARGE WOODEN AND PLASTER OF PARIS WALL PLAQUE, with a central area which houses a period card relating to the deaths of two solders in WWI, a Bugler Alfred Harold Bovett, 14th Battalion Devon Regiment died 9 December 1918 and Private James Baker died 27 December 1917 9th Battalion Devon Regiment, Paschandaele, Belgium, buried in Hooge Crater Cemetery, together with written paperwork relating to the soldiers who were related, the card has the incorrect date entered for Baker
A 19th century bronze and brass sextant with hardwood handle, inscribed 'R.J.Paul Keane R.P.' in original case with accessories, 9.5in.CONDITION: Original case worn commensurate with age, with a split at the corner and the brass cartouche plaque lifting away, internally original baize now heavily worn, sextant and accessories are all tarnished, sextant being a green bronze tone with brass and silver scale, looks like one small accessory is missing from the left hand side.

General age related wear, the plaster is loose in the frame. Removed from a Cambridge property, owned by a University of Cambridge Fellow.
