A 9ct gold open faced gentleman's Coventry Astral pocket watch. With white dial and Roman numerals with secondary dial. With internal inscription dated 1914. Birmingham hallmark. Condition Report: Engraved 'E A CHILD SEPT 5TH 1914' interally.Watches are not sold as working. This example will tick when wound but for a relatively short time and it does not does not appear to be in working order. The hands rotate. The hour hand is slightlty bent at the tip, The case has some light typical scratching and wear to edge at openings of case. The white enamelled dial has a minute chip to rim between 12-1 o'clock, no hairline cracks are evident, no dents. Gross total weight 81.1 grams. Diam of case 4.7cm
