(12)Roger Rea (1606–1665) was an English map seller and publisher from London. His father, John Rea, was likely an exchanging goldsmith, a profession that paved the way for modern banking. Roger began his career apprenticing as a stationer under Peter Cowley before venturing into publishing with his son, also named Roger. The father-and-son duo focused primarily on maps, acquiring the publishing rights to John Speed's famous atlases. They produced several editions of Speed's pocket atlases and, in 1662, published a complete edition of A Prospect of the Most Famous Parts of the World. Their publishing activities may have continued until 1665, but Roger Rea Sr. died during the Great Plague that same year. As a result, Rea's editions of Speed's maps are now rare and prized by collectors.

The exterior shows some light wear including some rubbing and several small and light marks. The interior is dusty with some small marks of discolouration. Some scratches and rubbing to the hardware. The lock turns smoothly.

A vintage Mulberry reversible shoulder bag. Constructed of black and brown pebble grain leather with a denim panel to the front, a reversible frontal flap, gold coloured hardware, a leather strap and a pressure lock. The black suede interior with a zipped pocket and a slip pockets, having an impressed black leather badge and a brass tag numbered '10165201', H20cm x W26cm x D8cm Condition Report: One of the metal clasps for the strap is missing the pin and it is therefore unattached to the main bag (but present). Some scratches and marks to the leather (mainly the red section). A couple of very small spots of discolouration to the denim. The fastenings and zip function smoothly. The interior is overall in good condition with no stains or tears. No obvious tears or repairs to the interior or exterior. The strap has a couple of loose threads.

The dustbag is slightly dusty (doing its job!) however it also has no tears or staining. Receipt states the retail price was £600
