Original scuffed, rubbed and stained pictorial cloth, bumped corners and with edges a little frayed, the hinges a little tender, with only minor marginal finger-soiling internally; 'Twyfords Ltd' stamped to upper and lower edges of text block, label to front pastedown for The York Waterworks Co., Lendal Bridge, York, dated March 1903. The internationally-renowned sanitary ware manufacturer, now trading as Twyford Bathrooms, was founded by Thomas Twyford in 1849 in Bath Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, and expended by his son Thomas William Twyford

A late 19th century Vienna porcelain ewer and stand, well painted with titled scenes against a gilded red and pink ground, the ewer 33.5cm high, (shallow chips to edge of footrim). Condition Report: Ewer has chipping to foot rim and rubbing to gilt handle. Stand has lost and rubbed gilt to centre and overall dullness to gilt decoration.
