FRAGGLE ROCK (T.V. SERIES, 1983 - 1987) - Fraggle PuppetA Fraggle puppet from the classic children's TV series Fraggle Rock. The Fraggles were tiny humanoid creatures that lived on radishes and inhabited the natural caves within the titular peninsula. The series was conceived by the legendary Jim Henson, creator of The Muppets. This Fraggle is one of a horde of unnamed background characters that followed Gobo, Mokey, Wembley and Red on assorted escapades. He can be seen in various episodes wearing different costumes, but his slightly wonky eyes remain consistent. The general Fraggle population came in a multitude of different sizes and colours. This one is vivid orange and is constructed from soft "Muppet material". His red hair is made from dyed feathers that give a lifelike bounce even with the slightest movement. A tag inside reads "Property of The Muppets" and has "Gaggle 12/82 'Pudgy Gold' Toronto Exhibit" handwritten in red pen.The puppet was gifted to a senior crew member on completion of the final episode in 1987, and it sits on a custom-made display stand. Lot 148

FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI: JASON LIVES (1986) - Jason Voorhees' (C.J. Graham) Screen-matched Hero Hockey MaskJason Voorhees' (C.J. Graham) screen-matched hero hockey mask from Tom McLoughlin's slasher sequel Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. Jason wore his trademark hockey mask throughout the film, after accidentally being resurrected by Tommy (Thom Mathews). Markings and paintwork on the mask screen-match it to the scene where Jason enters the lake and is seen underwater. This particular mask was used for multiple stages of the production, but most notably in the film's second half, as it features bullet-hole damage. It was used for close-up shots and underwater stunts, and was also placed on the FX puppet used during the sequence where Jason is hit in the head with a motorboat propeller. The propeller scenes were mirrored on screen, so it appears Jason's mask was hit on the left side when, in fact, he was struck on the right side. This damage was worked into the mask design for the subsequent film, Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. This instalment in the franchise enjoyed a larger budget than previous productions, meaning that 12 versions of the mask could be created. Eight were used for earlier scenes in the film, while the remaining four featured a bullet hole in the forehead. The hockey mask is made of clear acrylic, with brown-and-yellow epoxy spray-paint shades applied to the exterior, and a decorative red triangle emblem on the forehead. Intentional wear and distressing are applied, and a large section of the mask's left side is missing, representing the propeller damage. Three brown leather straps are adhered to the mask, and "7" is written in black marker on the inside. Remnants of glue and rubber from the FX puppet are still present on the interior, and the mask exhibits scratches and dried stage-blood markings from production use. The lot remains fragile and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by credited special effects make-up assistant William Forsche. Dimensions: 26 cm x 26 cm x 10 cm (10 1/4" x 10 1/4" x 4")Additional Provenance:This lot comes from the personal collection of Friday the 13th collector and historian Mario Kirner. Estimate: £40,000 - 60,000 Ω This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, November 3rd. It features Mohawk's reptilian-like painted spikes and eyes, latex fin appendages, and resin claws along with his namesake spiny mohawk. During a fight between Octopussy, Bond (Roger Moore) and Kamal Khan's (Louis Jourdan) men, one of Khan's thugs was thrown into the aquarium, where the octopus latched onto his face. The puppet is made of rubber and is hand-painted to resemble the real animal's intricate patterning as closely as possible. NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, THE (1993) - Behemoth Stop-motion PuppetA Behemoth stop-motion puppet from Henry Selick's fantasy musical The Nightmare Before Christmas. Based on actor Thor Jorgensen and professional wrestler George "The Animal" Steele, Behemoth was a large man in overalls with an axe protruding from his head. He was voiced by Randy Crenshaw and appeared throughout the film, most notably during the opening song, as he dragged Jack Skellington into the centre of town, and later when Lock, Shock and Barrel returned with the Easter Bunny and Behemoth excitedly proclaimed "Bunny!"The puppet is made of foam over a metal armature which allowed it to be posed. It has a detachable replica resin axe, and stands on a resin cast base designed to look like the swirling hills in the movie. The puppet’s feet and lip have been sympathetically restored and the puppet has had minor paintwork touch up in places. The puppet has been opened on the back and its original armature has been removed. The interior now contains a simple framework structure which allows it to stand upright. Dimensions: 37 cm x 23 cm x 23 cm (141/2" x 9" x 9" ) Estimate: £6,000 - 8,000 Ω This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, November 3rd. Lot 353

STAR WARS: THE PHANTOM MENACE (1999) - Yoda's Jedi RobesYoda's Jedi robes from George Lucas' Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Yoda wore his robes throughout the film, including the scenes where he sat with the Jedi Council, gave advice to Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) and attended Qui-Gon Jinn's (Liam Neeson) funeral. Yoda was originally a puppet for The Phantom Menace, before being rendered entirely in CGI for the following two films in the prequel trilogy. Later releases of The Phantom Menace featured a fully CG version of the character. The puppet Yoda also appeared in his robes on page 9 of Star Wars Episode 1: The Visual Dictionary, and in the behind-the-scenes documentary which accompanied the DVD release. This costume was saved after production when the original puppet was discarded. It is a significant piece, as costumes from the prequel trilogy are extremely rare and hard to find. The costume was designed to be in keeping with the clothes Yoda wore in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, which themselves were an extension of the older Obi-Wan Kenobi's (Alec Guinness) desert robes. The style of costume later became synonymous with the Jedi Order as a whole. The costume consists of a beige woollen hooded robe and a brown woollen tunic. Both feature remnants of green rubber in places, and there are small patches of aged brown foam stuck to the robe. Both garments feature labels from JAK Productions Ltd, on which "Yoda" is handwritten. The costume is displayed on a custom-made poseable Yoda-shaped display featuring a model of Yoda's head, which is a cast of the final approved design sculpt for the film. The original design sculpt was undertaken by Gary Pollard and approved in person by George Lucas. Dimensions (display): 25 cm x 45 cm x 89 cm (9 3/4" x 13 1/2" x 35") Estimate: £40,000 - 60,000 ΩThis lot will be auctioned on Thursday, November 3rd. Yoda was brought to life on screen using a highly detailed puppet built by Stuart Freeborn and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) with Oz operating and voicing the character. This three-fingered foam latex hand with a white cloth interior is painted green with yellow resin fingernails and sculpted details, including wrinkles, knuckles, and veins. The latex exhibits stiffness from age, with cracking and chunks missing around the wrist, and the lot should be handled with caution. Dimensions: 18 cm x 12.75 cm x 5 cm (7" x 5" x 2") Estimate: £10,000 - 15,000 ΩThis lot will be auctioned on Thursday, November 3rd.
