The grips are free from splits or repairs, there are some chips and dents to the chequering and the grips screws are corroded. The extractor rod housing has a crack to it.

The mahogany case with green lining and Samuel Nock trade plate, the accessories include a twin cavity bullet mould serial numbered to the gun, C&J.W. Hawksley powder flask, nipple wrench, cleaning rod with worm, James Dixon and Sons Sheffield oil bottle, W&C Eley cap tin, grease tin, and a Samuel Nock & Co. labelled tin of bullets.Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out. The box measures 33cm x 19cm. The revolver is in good above-average general condition. The blued finish, whilst being present in alot of places has worn away from the cylinder and alot of the frame. There is some light brown speckling seen in the patches which lack bluing. The bore has some light pitting spots but a strong rifling pattern. The action works well with strong springs and good timing. The chequered grip has some light dents but nothing deep and is free from splits or repairs. The case is structurally sound, one corner has a gap at the joint. there are some chips to the lining of the lid and the lock is missing and a very slight warp, typically seen in old cases, to the lid around the lock area. The green fabric lining has some moth damage as does the label. There is a small glue repair to one corner of a partition. The exterior of the cases have dents scratches and marks. The baseboard has a split at one corner. There are stains wear and losses to the labels and finish of the tins inside the case. The bullet mould and nipple key are lightly pitted on the steel parts.
Six original muzzle-loading revolver cartridges, c.1855. including a three 54 bore Tranter, .36 Colt, one 90 bore Tranter all marked Eley London also one copper-cased Adams ‘dustbin” type cartridge.THIS LOT CANNOT BE POSTED. FACE TO FACE HAND OVER ONLY. The cartridges have some staining and marks to the paper from age and being handled. Some of the bullets may be pushed further into the cartridges than they were when originally produced. There are no obvious damages to report.

Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out. 22cm long The revolver is in average condition with a lightly pitted overall general appearance. The action does not quite function as it should as the cylinder sometimes moves backward (anticlockwise) when the hammer is dropped, it otherwise rotates forward (clockwise) correctly when the action is cocked. The bore has some light pitting similar to the exterior of the gun. The brass grips and guard were once nickel plated but this has completely worn away leaving only a small trace of plating on the base of the grip. The trigger guard has taken a knock and is slightly out of shape from that which is should be. The screw heads all show signs of being worked and used. The wood grips have some light dents and marks but no splits or repairs.

There is wear, knocks and marks to the bluing, one grip has been stuck back together. The revolver will open and the ejector extends, whilst the cylinder walls have been cut, dummy rounds could be inserted and would eject. Pulling the trigger rotates the cylinder but does not operate the hammer. The hammer moves forwards and back under spring tension but will not cock or dry fire.
