A mid-century Rolex Shock-Resisting stainless steel mid-size manual wind wrist watch, 1950s, the 24.5mm. silvered dial with minute tracks, centre seconds, gilt Rolex crown and lumed gilt dot and batons markers with Arabic numerals at 2,4,6,8 and 10, the 30mm. case with plain crown, the signed Dennison for Rolex caseback numbered 12324 2789, signed 15 Rubis movement, no. 68000, with later black leather strap, in a blue flock Rolex box, * Condition: Winds and runs. Hands adjust correctly. One securing screw is detached from the movement but present - it appears to lack the lower threaded section, so cannot be re-fitted. Silvering to dial has dulled and light surface scratches to centre. Luming to batons and dots has dulled and degraded. There is no luming to the hands. Some scratching to plastic crystal. Expected scratching and small nicks to case from regular use. Strap good but not original or by Rolex. Box probably later.

A 'GOLD SHELL' ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE WATCH the circular white dial signed Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified, with black Roman index and gilt 5-minute markers, gilt hands, date aperture and cyclops at 3 o'clock position, 34mm diameter case with screw-down crown and steel case back, fitted with aftermarket brown crocodile grain strap with gilt buckle, accompanied by the original Rolex warranty dated August 1983 and wallet, together with an original gold plated buckle and service documentation dated June 2022 from a non-Rolex source.Rolex produced "Gold Shell" watches between 1954-1992 and this model between 1983-1992. Typically at the time, gold plated watches had a coating approximately 10-20 microns thick but this series had a sheet of precious metal, usually 14ct Gold, approximately 240 microns thick applied to the stainless steel case. The inner bezel and the case back were left as steel thus differentiating between models in the collection which were composed entirely of gold.Watch is currently functioning but timekeeping not tested, case shows only light signs of wear with minor marks and surface scratches. Gold plated.

Crystal with a dark mark between 7 and 8 positions, some scratches to the bezel edge and general surface scratches to the crystal. Mark in photograph at the 1 o'clock position is a shadow cast by scratching to the dial.

A 9ct gold cased 'Precision' wristwatch by Rolex, the circular signed cream dial with gilt baton markers, tapered hands and blued steel centre seconds hand, to a manual wind movement, 9ct gold case and gilt metal signed winder, on an unassociated gilt metal expanding bracelet, accompanied by maker's box and guarantee dated 19 September 1960, case width 3.1cmScuffs to outer rim of dial, most noticeably between 12 and 3, with surface wear throughout dial. The case has scuffs, scratches and chips/nicks, commensurate for use, and the finish to the winder has patchy wear. The movement runs when wound but is untested for working order and we have been unable to remove the movement/dial from the case. The movement and inner case have therefore not been viewed and the originality of these parts cannot be guaranteed. The winder winds the movement but does not appear to move the hands and may require repair/adjustment. Case length 4cm (from shoulder to shoulder). Surface wear to bracelet. Inner cushion to box is missing, patchy wear to exterior finish on box.

General surface wear, scuffs, scratches and chips/nicks to case, bezel, winder and bracelet, commensurate for use. The foldover clasp is tight fitting and the bracelet would fit a large wrist size. The movement currently runs and the winder adjusts the hands/date when deployed, but working order has not been tested and cannot be guaranteed. The case back has not been removed and the movement has therefore not been viewed. Case length 3.25cm. The bracelet would suit a medium size wrist, total length approximately 18cm. There are no spare links, papers or case with this lot.
