1997 Rover Mini MPi Balmoral Edition Make: RoverModel: Mini Year: 1997Mileage: 28095VIN: SAXXNWAZEBD137807Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: P617GANTransmission: manualRover's Mini Balmoral came with 12in 'Premium' 'Pepperpot' alloy wheels although there was also the option of the Sport Pack kit, which upgraded the wheels to 13in alloys with wide wheelarches - as on this car. Inside, the seats were Balmoral stone beige (optional full leather available) with 'Balmoral' tartan cloth inserts. This example is finished in Tahiti Blue body colour. The vendor bought this 1997 model because he loved Minis, but as it didn't receive that much use, he sold it to his gardener. However, when he moved away, the vendor bought it back again. In recent times, it has been mainly used for club nights and car events, and dry-stored when not being used. The current mileage shown on the odometer is 28,095 miles and although this can't be totally warranted, the very good overall condition of the car and lack of wear inside the cabin suggests it's the true figure. In addition, a print-out of the online MoT history shows that, in 2005, its mileage was just 23,008 miles. The history file includes the V5C, showing the car was registered in March 1997 and has four former registered keepers since then. Its MoT is valid until March 2023 and the certificate is present, as is the previous certificate from 2021. In December 2003, the Mini was the subject of a Category D insurance loss; vehicle damaged but repairable - insurer decided not to repair.

1965 Rover P6 2000Make: Rover Model: P6 2000Year: 1965Mileage: 71879VIN: 40016907BConfiguration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: DTP280CTransmission: manualThis is an earlier Rover P6, having been registered June 1965, when the only engine option was the 2-litre unit, in this case with a manual gearbox. These earlier cars are known by some enthusiasts as 'Sharkstooths' due to their front valance design. The previous owner had the car for over 30 years and it was restored by him several years ago. The odometer currently shows 71,879 miles, with the car reported as being in good mechanical condition; the vendor tells us that the engine runs well and does not burn or leak oil, or overheat, with recent runs out in the car being 'free of any dramas, breakdowns or unexpected mechanical issues'. The P6 was driven 60 miles to the auction with no issues. The white bodywork is in very good condition and has an original red leather flatpleat interior, which is described as 'very good' - with the door seals, door cards, carpet and rubber mats all in fine order. Just before the vendor bought the car (earlier this year) the previous owner overhauled the rear brakes and fitted new pads - good news for any prospective owner, as these are inboard items, so trickier to work on than the more conventional front brakes. As an historic vehicle, the Rover is now MoT-exempt; its last certificate expired in January 2021 however. The online MoT history shows no serious issues back to 2006, which is when the online history ends. The vendor has only owned the car for a short while, and is now selling because his wife would prefer a more modern classic. The V5C shows four previous registered keepers, and there are copies of previous V5Cs, as well as MoT certificates back to 2001. There's also a handful of recent bills from 2022 for a Dunlop rear brake caliper seal kit, the brake pad set along with two owner's manuals, three workshop manuals and a period brochure. 1989 Skoda 136 Rapid 3.5 V8Make: Skoda Model: 136 RapidYear: 1989Mileage: 0VIN: TMB13600GK5141882Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: G878OKJTransmission: manualKnown as 'Bray's Beast', this Skoda 136 Rapid has quite a secret. Instead of the standard 1289cc engine, it has a 3.5-litre Rover V8 engine coupled to Renault 25 transmission. The car is fully road-legal and has been used in motorsport events such as the Exeter Classic Car Trials, Land's End Trial etc. It's currently running on 15-inch diameter wheels for trialling, but can also run on 13-inch wheels for hill climbs, sprints and other events. The Skoda was converted by the vendor, who had been running a 1300cc Skoda Estelle in Class 4 trials. However, as certain members of his club weren't that happy with it always winning, he then built this Rapid V8 instead to run in Class 7 trials. Among the exterior modifications were a full-length underbody guard and two spare wheels mounted on a removable rear carrier to provide extra weight for traction.
