Sqn. Ldr. Peter J. S. Boggis DFC ( Captain of 'MacRoberts Reply') signed RAF 60th Anniversary XV squadron flown cover. No.XV Squadron Royal Air Force - 60th Anniversary of the Formation of the Squadron, 1st March 1975. Aircraft illustrated on the cover are: BE2c (1915), HS Buccaneer S2B (1975) and Short Stirling Mk1. of No.15 Sqn. In the summer of 1941, Lady MacRobert of Downside gave £25,000 to the Secretary of State for Air to pay for a bomber to continue the work of her sons who had both lost their lives while serving with the RAF. The result. was a Short Stirling bomber to be named 'Mac Roberts Reply'. Special 60th Anniversary hand-stamp cancelled Weeze 2, 1 March 1975. Signed Sqn. Ldr. Peter J. S.
