ALIENS (1986) - Autographed One-of-a-Kind Replica Hero Pulse RifleAn autographed, one-of-a-kind replica hero pulse rifle from James Cameron's sci-fi action sequel Aliens. Colonial Marines used their M41-A pulse rifles while battling xenomorphs on the planet LV-426. This custom built replica was created by professional effects artist Karl Derrick using a real M1A1 Thompson sub-machine gun and a Remington 870 pump-action shotgun, just as the hero version was on the production. Both weapons have been sympathetically deactivated. Bapty & Co, the armourers who supplied weapons for the film, gave Derrick access to the two remaining working pulse rifles so he could use them as reference. It is autographed on the magazine by actor Michael Biehn (Corporal Hicks), and accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Derrick, deactivation certificates for both weapons, and a carrying case. It has been intentionally distressed to appear well used, like the pulse rifles in Aliens. Dimensions: 71 cm x 7 cm x 26 cm (28" x 2 3/4" x 10 1/4")Firearm deactivated; see firearm deactivation notice in the Buyer's Guide.Restricted ownership; see replica firearm notice in the Buyer's Guide. ALIENS (1986) & ALIEN 3 (1992) - Hero Pulse RifleA hero pulse rifle from David Fincher's sci-fi sequel Alien 3. Weyland-Yutani soldiers under the command of Bishop II (Lance Henriksen) carried pulse rifles when they arrived at the end of the film and attempted to take Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) with them. Pulse rifles first appeared in James Cameron's Aliens, carried by the Colonial Marines and later used by Ripley. After Aliens wrapped the rifles were broken down to their core guns and the dressing components were kept. They were then rebuilt for the production of Alien 3 using the different components, although new shrouds were made from vacuum-formed plastic based on an original Aliens metal one. The weapon is built around a Thompson sub-machine gun, which has been sympathetically deactivated. It also features an imitation shotgun made from plastic tubing. The weapon is painted black, although there is a small section missing at the rear of the shroud which is green, as they were in Aliens. The weapon is accompanied by a certificate of deactivation and comes in a protective, wheeled carrying case. The plastic shroud has some paint wear and remains in a slightly fragile state. Dimensions: 67 cm x 7 cm x 25 cm (26 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 9 3/4") Firearm deactivated; see firearm deactivation notice in the Buyer's Guide.Restricted ownership; see replica firearm notice in the Buyer's Guide.Special shipping required; see special shipping notice in the Buyer's Guide.
