The box opens to reveal two segments with pierced plates over a cavity. The frame supported on four feet with a carry handle, approx 18 x 32 cms (open); together with a Georgian silver plated tea caddy with bright-cut decoration approx 10 x 10 cms. (3)

A George VI Silver Caddy-Spoon, by Leslie Gordon Durbin, London, 1948 the spatulate handle with a border of incised lines and applied with three-leaf clover, with an oval bowl71mm high, 1oz 5dwt, 39grFully marked on back of handle. The marks are clear. There is overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a minor softening to the high points.
A Victorian Silver Tea-Caddy, Probably by George Nathan and Ridley Hayes, Birmingham, 1890 tapering cylindrical and on spreading foot, the sides chased with foliage scrolls and flowers on a matted ground, the pull-off cover chased with foliage and with a wrythen finial13cm high, 4oz 3dwt, 128grFully marked underneath and further part marked inside cover. The marks are generally clear, though the maker's mark is double struck so only partially visible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The finial is very slightly pushed into the cover.

The cover with maker's mark and lion passant only on bezel. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points. There are two possible repairs, one on each of the narrow sides. There are some bruises.The cartouches have probably been erased.
