Wilkinson Sword to Commemorate the Marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, blade 81cms etched with To Commemorate the Marriage of The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer 29 July 1981, silvered hilt cast with the participants names in relief and incorporating their enamel crests and the gilt royal crest against a red enamel background, silver bullion dress knot. Good condition.
Great War New Zealand Medal and Silver War Badge Group, British War and Victory medals, “26059 PTE. A.J. DARBY N.Z.E.F.” with Silver War Badge reverse numbered N.Z.4728 and painted ‘New Zealand’ shoulder titles and an unknown white (plastic?) disc. Albert John Darby, originally from Northampton in the UK was living in Mitchell Street, Wellington when he attested for service in the 3rd Battalion Canterbury Regiment. He served for a total of 2 years and 9 days, of which 1 year and 131 days were overseas. He was discharged unfit for further military service due to his lungs on 6th June 1918 and issued with a Silver War Badge.

WW2 German Army Officers Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn Solingen, with orange celluloid grip, pommel with oakleaves relief and cross guard in the form of German army eagle and swastika. Housed in its original scabbard with two hanging rings. Attached to the scabbard is an original but well worn pair of brocade dress hangers which appear to have been painted silver at one time. Double edged blade with Carl Eickhorn, Solingen makers trade mark. The dagger blade retains some of the original cross graining. Blade 25cms, overall 40cms.

The blade measures 22cms, overall 36 ½ cms.

WW2 German Army Infantry Officers Peaked Cap, large size officers peaked cap with fine high form shape. White piping to the crown and bordering the central band. Aluminium cap eagle and cockade. Officers cap cords with pebbled side buttons. Interior with satin cloth lining having celluloid tailors diamond with silver leaf details of tailor. Tan leather sweatband with perforated forehead section. Some fading and wear.
Victorian British 94th Regiment of Foot Officers Full Dress Tunic, fine example for a Captian in the 94th regiment of foot (later Connaught Rangers), in scarlet cloth with dark green collar and cuffs. Brocade lace to the collar and finely decorated cuffs. Gilt metal officers crown over number tunic buttons to the front an rear with the shoulders having 1st pattern Connaught Rangers buttons. Fine quality half quilted lining to the interior. Accompanied by crimson and gold wire sash and officers undress waist belt with silver gilt clasp. One tunic button detached but otherwise a very good example. The 94th regiment of foot became the 2nd battalion The Connaught Rangers in July 1881. The 94th regiment of foot were involved in a number of the Victorian campaigns but were probably most famous for their actions during the Anglo-Zulu war, where they were present at the Battle of Ulundi in 1879.

Plated mounts with the lower guard being stamped ‘Ns’. Housed in its blackened scabbard with single leather hanging strap. Near mint condition blade which retains much of the original cross graining. Standard motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’ and makers trade mark to the reverse. Blade 22cms, overall 37cms. Some scratches to the scabbard but otherwise a superb example.

WW2 German Luftwaffe Officers Sword by Paul Weyersberg & Co Solingen, fine example of a nickel silver officers sword with large pommel with sun dial / mobile swastika to both sides, blue leather covered grip with wire binding and cross guard with mobile swastika to both sides. Blue leather covered scabbard with nickel silver mounts. Original blue leather hanger fitted to the scabbard. Good condition double edged blade with partial fuller. Blue leather washer to the base and makers trade mark with Luftwaffe acceptance stamp. Blade 76 ½ cms, overall 98 ½ cms. Housed in a brown cloth sword bag. Dark patina to the exterior fittings.
Decorative Philippines Dagger, with 24cms wavy blade, bone hilt and sheath each with engraved copper and brass mounts; an Ottoman jambya, blade 25cms, buffalo horn grip in associated sheath; a wedong type knife with silver mounted horn grip, another similar in sheath, 3 assorted Malay spear heads presented as daggers; and 2 similar Malay spear heads on wooden hafts with brass foil bands (some loose, max. 192cms). Average good condition.

Housed in the original blue leatherette case of issue with gilt tooled image of the award to the lid of the case and the interior of the lid having printed maker details of C E Juncker, Berlin. Some wear to the outer covering of the case. Accompanied by a miniature silver grade mothers cross award.

South African Zulu Knobkerrie, fine example with bulbous head, lower section with cut out circle for snuff or similar. Top with a circular silver (not hallmarked) plaque engraved ‘ZULU WAR 1879’, this we believe to be a much later addition. 78cms in length.
WW2 German Iron Cross 2nd Class Grouping of Obergefreiten Franz Kerschner Panzer-Grenadier Regiment 394, near mint condition example of a 2nd class Iron Cross which retains nearly all of the silver frosted finish to the frame and all the finish to the centre of the award. The medal ring is stamped with maker number ‘113’ for Hermann Aurich, Dresden. The award is complete with the medal ribbon and the original blue paper packet of issue with the makers details to the reverse. Accompanying the medal is the original award citation, showing the award was issued on 26th January 1945 and is signed by the commander of the 3rd Panzer Division, Wilhelm Söth, who was holder of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. Also with the item is a typed document sent to the wife of Kerschner, forwarding the award of the Iron Cross to him. Superb grouping.

Accompanied by a hallmarked silver spoon with Liverbird to the stem and presentation to the reverse for a sergeant in the 9th Kings Liverpool regiment; hallmarked silver spoon of the 8th (Kings) Regiment of foot and another example for the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders. Third Reich SA (Sturmabteilung) Dress Dagger by Ernst Pack & Sohn, early model SA dress dagger with brown wooden grip having SA device and nickel silver eagle inserted, the SA emblem has lost much of the enamel and just the copper base can be seen. Grip mounts with the lower guard being stamped ‘Ha’. Anodised scabbard with single hanging ring to the top mount. Bottom ball with some denting. Top scabbard mount is missing the fixing screws. Attached to the scabbard is a good three piece leather hanging strap. Standard double edged blade with motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’ and makers trade mark to the reverse. The makers mark has been partially erased. Some wear to the blade but generally still a good example. Blade 22cms, overall 37cms.
Royal Air Force Officers Full Dress Busby Badge, fine silver gilt officers cap badge being crowned circlet with motto ‘PER ARDVA AD ASTRA’ and silvered eagle to the centre. Reverse with two long lug fittings, eagle stamped ‘L & Co’. Generally a good example.
