Third Reich SS (Schutzstaffel) Officers Chained Dress Dagger, interesting example of an SS officers dress dagger which has been issued to an enlisted rank who has been made up to an officer and would appear kept his original dagger and changed the scabbard to an officers chained type. Black ebony grip with nickel eagle and enamel SS runes. Plated mounts, with the lower cross guard having a ‘I’ stamp but horizontal. Anodised scabbard with chained hangers with the links having SS skull and SS runes. Reverse of the hangers with SS double rune acceptance stamp. The blade has standard motto ‘Meine Ehre heist Treue’ and makers trade mark of Robert Klass, Solingen, which would indicate that this was probably first issued as an enlisted ranks dagger as officers were issued with un-maker marked blades. Overall the dagger is in good condition. Blade measures 22cms, overall 38cms.

Stirnseitig in drei Ebenen ein aufgelegtes Sternemblem, dabei ein grün lackierter Stern (Buntmetall) und darauf das königlich sächsische Wappen aus versilbertem Metall. Schön erhaltenes schwarzes Lederlaschenfutter. Trage- und Altersspuren. Dazu die Medaille "150 Jahre Polizeidirektion Dresden 1853 - 2003 Sonderausstellung" mit Zertifikat und Darstellung dieses Helmes für Mannschaften, der auch von der Königlich Sächsischen Polizeidirektion Dresden getragen wurde. Registration No: Unregistered Frame No: 10265 MOT: ExemptA real old warrior of a NortonGreat patina with an International tankIn ‘running’ conditionDating certificate on file Synonymous with performance, Norton developed its first overhead camshaft engine during the winter of 1926/1927. The brainchild of Walter Moore, it powered the winner of the 1927 Senior TT race and prompted the release of the CS1 (Camshaft Senior 1) and CJ (Camshaft Junior) models. An example of the latter contested the 1928 TT race. Overshadowed in period by its big brother, in both performance and sales terms, surviving CJs are now prized.On offer is a 1939 Norton CJ 350 in mostly unrestored condition which looks to have been used for sprints or racing at some point in its life. Although, there is no accompanying documentation to back this supposition up. The CJ has been fitted with the desirable International tank and left-hand oil tank, which appear to have been painted years ago. It benefits from having an alloy Bronze Skull head, BTH magneto, and an Amal TT carburettor. The Norton runs and rides well, with its distinctive bark from a very short megaphone. It comes complete with a dating certificate to enable the new owner to get it registered for the road. Some light recommissioning would be required before placing back on the road.
